There are a variety of venues that provide players with opportunities to show what they can do. [player_tooltip player_id='1216140' first='Olivia' last='Schieffert'] made a big impression at the high school state tournament. [player_tooltip player_id='963569' first='Kaylee' last='Dilger'] was a force in AAU all summer. [player_tooltip player_id='887153' first='Gabby' last='Granberg'] was consistently good when we watched during AAU play. Ditto for [player_tooltip player_id='903543' first='Olivia' last='Holmberg']. [player_tooltip player_id='992389' first='Bria' last='Williamson'] absolutely crushed it at the Sophomore ID Camp. As a result, all five of them did what they needed to do to enter the Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2028 rankings in the Top 75. Here's the rundown on the five highest-rated newcomers among the 2028s.

Scheiffert was a key piece for a 30-4 Sleepy Eye St. Mary's squad that reached the Class A high school state tournament, averaging 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 2.4 steals per game throughout the season. At 5'9 with a strong frame, she's physical on both ends and one of the best defenders in her class – strong enough to guard forwards, quick enough to stay with guards. A versatile scorer who can finish at the rim or hit from deep, Olivia combines toughness, vision, and relentless effort. Her defensive motor and basketball IQ make her a standout leader and reliable all-around contributor.

Dilger is an uber-confident 5'6 combo guard who scores at all three levels and can light up the scoreboard in bunches. She averaged 6 points per game last season while making her way into the rotation on a very deep Class 4A roster at Rosemount. A sharp-shooter from deep, she handles with pace and flair, changing direction to shake defenders and attacking the rim with gusto. Kaylee's quick hands and anticipation make her disruptive defensively. Dilger rebounds well for her size, plays with plenty of swagger, and thrives in transition. Expect her scoring instincts and energy to make her a key piece at Rosemount going forward.

Granberg is a lean, athletic guard with the ability to take over games offensively. She shoots it with deep range and a high, fluid release, while also getting downhill to score in traffic. Her mix of quickness and confidence makes her a constant threat. A competitive defender, she uses anticipation to turn stops into scoring opportunities. Although Mayo's depth may limit her opportunities a little in the short term, Gabby's upside is undeniable. Granberg's combination of skill, shot creation, and scoring mindset positions her as one of the more intriguing guards in the 2028 class.

Holmberg is a fundamentally sound 5'8 guard who does a bit of everything to help her team win. A steady two-way performer, she averaged 5.8 points per game last season and continues to grow into a more assertive performer offensively. Quick and composed, she reads the floor well, spaces intelligently, and can get her shot off in rhythm. Holmberg defends with discipline, communicates well, and plays with constant energy. Mature beyond her years, she's the type of high-IQ, team-first player every coach values – dependable, unselfish, and consistent in whatever role she's given.

The 5'10 forward from Fairmont, where she plays with MSU-Mankato commit [player_tooltip player_id='339179' first='Brylee' last='Miller'], impressed us so much at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp with her energy and intensity. She brings length, strength, and a nonstop motor, constantly hunting rebounds and chasing loose balls. Offensively, Bria is efficient and smart, using simple but effective post moves and drives. Williamson plays multiple positions and embraces physical play, doing the dirty work that often goes unnoticed. A vocal, positive teammate with no fear, she impacts both ends of the floor and continues to elevate her all-around game.

HOW THE RANKINGS WORK

As we always like to remind our readers, Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings are based on a player's potential for college basketball, NOT their current level of play in high school. Our goal is to project where players fit in the college basketball landscape and help college coaches locate Minnesota prospects who will fit well at their level of competition. For more information on the ranking process, please go to the rankings tab above and select the How We Rank option.
