EDC Returning Rebounders

The start of a new Basketball Season is coming upon us. The EDC had some standout rebounders last year, that also put up their share of points offensively. Let's take a look at some of the top rebounders returning to the EDC in 2022-2023.     [player_tooltip player_id="375723" first="Teigan" last="Malo"]: 2024 5'10 C, Fargo South High School   Teigan the 5'10 Junior will be coming back for the Bruines this year looking to add to her impressive rebounding stats. Last year as a Sophomore she was 2nd in the EDC with 229 rebounds and averaged 10.4 RPG. On top of that she added 258 points and averaged 11.7ppg. This year could very well be a huge year for her and Fargo South. She proved last year she is skilled and can play on both ends. She is another player that has the potential to play at the next level.   [player_tooltip player_id="215744" first="Miriley" last="Simon"]: 2023 6'1 F, West Fargo High School   When it comes to rebounding you can't forget about Miriley. The NDSU Commit had an impressive Junior year leading the EDC in points, rebounds, and was in the top 5 for blocked shots. Last year alone she had 285 rebounds with an average of 11.9rpg, on top of that she also averaged a whopping 22.5ppg for the Packers. She was an all out baller on the court last year, I expect her to put up even bigger numbers this year. She has good size, strength and knows her job in the paint very well, she is a Double-Double waiting to happen.   [player_tooltip player_id="257896" first="Mesiku" last="Hakim"]: 2024 6' F, Fargo Shanley High School   [player_tooltip player_id="257896" first="Mesiku" last="Hakim"] is about athletic as they come, she can run up and down the court all game long, has great speed and an impressive vertical to match. Last year for the Deacons she had 202 rebounds, with an average of 8.8rpg. Offensively she put up 313pts with an average of 13.6ppg to add to her stats. She is a fun player to watch that leaves it all on the court. I think she will really break out this year, she is a quality player who contributes on both ends, and knows how fight for the rebound in the paint.   [player_tooltip player_id="100433" first="Karson" last="Sanders"]: 2023 6' F, West Fargo Sheyenne High School   I said earlier this year Karson is one to keep a close eye on for many reasons. She is a skilled Forward who moves well in the paint, and is just waiting to breakout and make some noise. Last Season for the Mustangs she was a big contributor pulling down 206 Rebounds with an average of 7.6 rpg. She knows how to use her size well, block out and get in there and do her job. Offensively she respectively added 240pts 9.6ppg, I have a feeling she will be adding quite a bit more to this stat this coming year. She will be a big part of the Mustang roster on both sides of the court.   [player_tooltip player_id="100447" first="Maya" last="Metcalf"]: 2023 6'2 F, West Fargo Sheyenne High School   Maya is a known name in the EDC for all the right reasons, the MSUM commit can flat out play offensively and defensively. Last year for the Mustangs she had 205 boards averaging 7.9RPG along with 358points and an average of 13.8ppg. Maya spent her summer with North Tartan EYBL 17u's and continued to refine her already skilled game. She's a good all around player on both sides of the court, and a team leader as well.
