Whims definitely drew attention at the showcase. It was her passing and ability to feed her teammates the ball that impressed me the most. Whims was very effective using a bounce pass with touch to feed the post when her teammate secured position on the block.
I was looking forward to seeing Schwalbach play on Saturday and she certainly didn’t disappoint. She was active and brough energy to both ends of the floor. Scwalbach had good offensive and defensive footwork and she talked on defense always letting her teammates know what was coming.
Flora Zickert
Flora Zickert
Zickert is a rising prospect that looks like she’s ready for a big junior season. She was a mismatch and a tough cover every time I saw her at the David Barns Showcase. Zickert was able to score from all levels and from a multitude of different spots on the floor. She could play both inside-out and outside-in.
Linden brought her usual energy and intensity, and as is always the case, it helped her team play well. She was one of the better, if not the best, ball handler in the building. Linden made great choices and decisions when the ball was in her hands.
Pawlaczyk showed some flare and playmaking ability that really turned some heads on Saturday. I was particularly impressed with a spin move into a mid range jumper that she used. It freed space for her shot and defenders had a really tough time with it.

Hartwick is an explosive lead guard. She has a dangerous first step that can immediately put her defender on her hips. Coaches can give Hartwick the ball and count on her making a play for her team.

Keira Roehm
Keira Roehm
Roehm was nothing short of a head turner at the David Barns Showcase. Her jumper looked so pure on Saturday and you can tell by watching that she’s a very seasoned player for her age. The state of Michigan has a good one with this freshman to be. The highlight I saw from her that impressed me the most was a pass and post that she turned into a bucket.
Farr showed up to play on Saturday. Her defensive energy was very noticeable and there were many occasions where her team fed off that energy. Farr was tough on the offensive end, showing 3 point range on her jumper.

Marie Reidlinger
Marie Reidlinger
Reidlinger was one of the grittiest players in the gym. She hustled and both her team and her reaped the rewards. Reidlinger showed that she was willing to hit the floor or hustle back on defense, whatever was needed from her at any given time. She was very active on the offensive glass.
Laprairie continues to show scouts and coaches all that she brings to the table as a player and a prospect. She has developed a deserved and earned confidence in her game that I think allows to play at an even higher level. She handled the ball with fluidity and efficiency and her jumper continued to look pure and consistent, just as it did all spring and summer. Laprairie showed great straight line speed with the ball in her hands. allowing her to score easily in transition as well as go coast to coast with the ball.
Valencia definitely made people notice her game at the showcase. I was very impressed with her work off the ball. She cut hard to the rim pass ready and showing herself to the ball handler for an easy pass. If she can combine this with her solid jumper this high school season…..Watch out.
