Damaya juked defenders out of their shoes at the Michigan Dearborn prospect camp and is a point guard who excites the audience with her showtime style of play. Damaya used a quick spin dribble to score a left layup, dished one-handed assists, stripped the ball away from a post, and beat her defender baseline off the dribble to score a tough reverse layup high off the glass. Damaya has shifty handles, 3-point shooting, great vision, and scrappy defense that is always exciting to see on the basketball court.

was a very effective guard for Grand Blanc at the Michigan Hardwood Classic on Saturday. Damaya drilled a corner 3 off of a baseline play, drilled another corner jumper, and pulled up for a mid-range bucket. She sees the court very well and has the confidence to pass using either hand, which creates a great inside out scoring dynamic with the posts. She made a high level choice to pass up a contested three so she could dish a one handed pass for an assist to her teammate inside. Damaya causes turnovers pressuring the ball and is going to be a key CG for the Bobcats this season.

Hartwick is a regular at the Prep Girls Hoops Top 250, where she flaunted her skills again this year. She was equally as terrific at the David Barns Showcase. Hartwick was one of the top ball handlers and floor generals at both events. She can simply break down her defender off the bounce and make plays with it in her hands. Hartwick is a solid passer as well, utilizing both a chest pass with zip as well as a bounce pass that has touch.

Hartwick quite simply was one of the best and most dynamic ball handlers in the gym in Grand Rapids. She kept her turnover numbers low and seemed to always be able to break down her defender and create for herself and her teammates off the bounce.

Hartwick is a classic example of a really good lead guard. It all starts with her handles. She can break pressure off the bounce and rarely turns it over. I was very impressed with her ability to attack the lane off the bounce, draw the defense, and dish it off to scorers. Hartwick also fed the post very well at the event.

Hartwick is an explosive lead guard. She has a dangerous first step that can immediately put her defender on her hips. Coaches can give Hartwick the ball and count on her making a play for her team.
