Arianna Jackson Arianna Jackson 5'9" | PG Roosevelt | 2023 State IA
The future Iowa State Cyclone led her team and conference in scoring last season as a junior. She’s one of the most effective scorers in the state because she can put the ball in the basket from anywhere at any time. However, she’s much more than just a scorer. Jackson is an excellent athlete who excels on the defensive end as much as she does on the offensive end. She makes plays that help her team win, and that’s how they made the state tournament at Wells Fargo last spring.
Amani Jenkins Amani Jenkins 6'2" | C Johnston | 2025 State IA
There aren’t many posts that move as Jenkins does in the region. She’s a 6-foot-2 athlete who can move her feet like a guard. Sometimes when Jenkins has her back to the basket, the rising sophomore can spin away from her defender like they aren’t even standing there. Very few kids at 6-2 have the natural athleticism that Jenkins does, and she knows how to use those physical gifts to maximize what she does on the floor.
Carlee Julius
Lincoln’s 6-foot-1 post broke her school’s single-season rebounding record with 244 as a sophomore. She dominates the area around the basket and rebounds her area at an elite level. If Julius is near where the ball bounces off the rim, that rebound will likely be hers. The rising junior also has nice touch around the basket. When she gets offensive rebounds, she stays under control through pressure and putting the ball in the basket. She has a chance to have a good season if she puts everything together. Her dominance around the rim will help her team win games this season.
The rising senior is a 5-foot-2 crafty point guard who knows how to utilize space on the floor. She maneuvers around defenses well and gets the ball to her teammates on time and in rhythm. Seay was second in the conference last season in assists because of how well she sees the floor and how unselfish she is with the ball. She tends to make the right play when the ball is in her hands which helps make everyone on her team better when she’s on the floor.
