Continue ReadingComing off a dominating summer, Alyssa is arguably the top player regardless of class in the Southwest VA region and one of the top players in the State. She is unselfish, making everyone around her better. Highly skilled player, certified bucket getter and the ability to impact the game in multiple ways to go along with size at 5’10. She gets better every year and will be ready to defend her state title this season.
Aden had an outstanding summer, picked up her first offer and showcased her versatile skill set across several tournaments and camps. Aden has a knack for scoring the basketball, a confident shooter with range beyond 3pt line who spends countless hours in the gym developing her game. Look for her to continue her upward trajectory this school year as she plays for Stateline Rush.
Jada has a steady presence on the court, capable of playing any guard position. An elite defender on the wing she has speed, lateral quickness and a competitive spirit making her difficult to beat one on one. Jada has a high basketball IQ as evident by her consistently making the right plays and reads on the court. She is an easy teammate to play with and would fit well in any system.
Kenzie has length at the PG position, standing 5’9 and nice athleticism. She has a mature game, hard to believe she is just a rising Sophomore. An improved outside shot coupled with the ability to get to the basket where she finishes in traffic. She is a seasoned leader at the point guard position after taking on the starting PG responsibilities her Freshman year. She plays fast downhill, has good ball handling skills and distributes to teammates. Look for Kenzie to have a big Sophomore campaign.
Highlights
Maddie has shown tremendous growth this summer. She was a starter and solid contributor last season as a Freshman and I look for her to take on a larger role and have more scoring opportunities. Her post game has developed nicely, she has good footwork and an arsenal of moves. She is a competitor, fights for rebounds and loose balls and willing to sacrifice her body for the team. She is a good defender, capable of guarding multiple positions and can knock down the outside shot. Maddie has put in the work this summer!
Gracie has great size a 6’3 and can run the floor rim to rim. She is still somewhat raw offensively and some time in the weight room will give her the needed strength to finish consistently through contact. She has a consistent jumper out to 15ft and is the best rebounder and shot blocker in the area. Her strength is on the defensive end as she is skilled at blocking shots without fouling, utilizing her length to alter shots in the paint and she is agile enough to guard positions 3-5. I look for her offensive game to develop in the off season and have increased point production her Junior season.

With her well rounded game, she can fit in any system. Look for Rhyan to closer out her high school career with a big senior season.
Reigning 4D Player of the Year and 1st team All-State selection, Keslyn is coming off a big summer winning the GUAA championship with WV Thunder. Keslyn is long, lean and athletic. She slices her way through defenders to finish at the rim, slips out on the break for easy layups and is effective in the mid-range. She has a complete skill set, effortless scoring ability with long range on her 3; unselfish and makes her teammates better as a distributor and shot creator.
Liberty University commit, Avery is the top shooter in Southwest Virginia. Deep range on her shot, knockdown 3pt shooter off the catch of the bounce. She is difficult to guard as she is also adept at getting to the basket and scoring at will. Avery is an efficient ball handler, she doesn’t waste dribbles and does a nice job of shifting defenders and taking advantage of open space. Avery can easily take over a game with her efficient and highly productive scoring ability.
Emmah had a remarkable Freshman season and AAU season with WV Thunder, picking up offers from Appalachian State, Colgate and Marshall among others. Skilled, physical guard with a sweet jumper and passing ability. Emmah is adept at getting into the teeth of the defense and uses her advanced court vision to find her teammates. She has a strong foundation, effectively utilizing ball fakes to create space and playing the angles. Look for this outstanding guard to continue her upward trajectory this season.
