Avery Mills Avery Mills 5'8" | CG Liberty Christian Academy | 2024 State VA had about as bad a shooting performance as she’s had all year. I was impressed that she never lacked confidence and came up clutch for Liberty Christian. Liberty Christian was down 10 in the fourth quarter, and a few big shots by Avery, along with her late-game FTs, were huge in them winning this game. Avery finished with 23 points and 5 rebounds to cap Liberty’s 27-0 season.

Prep Girls Hoops Lead Scout

As a early commit Avery might have gotten lost amongst all the players in the 2024 class but make no mistake about it she high level player! Combo guard that is arguably that best pure shooter in this 2024 class! She is great in the pick in roll game and doesn’t need a lot of room to get her shot off. Liberty is getting a steal with her skillset and I expect from her to contribute early at the next level!

Avery Mills Avery Mills 5'8" | CG Liberty Christian Academy | 2024 State VA was making some nice plays penetrating the paint and opening up the court for her teammates. She sees the floor well knowing how to make adjustments to get the right pass, and she knows when to attack the basket all the way or pull up for her jumper. She anticipates passes well grabbing the steal.

Liberty University commit, Avery is the top shooter in Southwest Virginia. Deep range on her shot, knockdown 3pt shooter off the catch of the bounce. She is difficult to guard as she is also adept at getting to the basket and scoring at will. Avery is an efficient ball handler, she doesn’t waste dribbles and does a nice job of shifting defenders and taking advantage of open space. Avery can easily take over a game with her efficient and highly productive scoring ability.
