Below are a couple of key new additions and players who have earned the jump!
Cracking the rankings at spot 20, new addition Bruschuk is one of the most versatile, creative, agile players in this class. Her mix of length, IQ, vision and scoring ability are at the forefront of her long list of skills. She’s able to play 1-4, while also being able to guard 1-4. She uses her speed, frame and patience to be a defensive stopper when needed, while also being able to grab boards at a high rate. Elle’s transition from forward to the main ball handler will be on display this upcoming junior season at Willowbrook. A guard that will for-sure turn heads with her scoring ability from all levels and overall energy that she brings to the floor.
Jumping up 21 spots.. the defense first, score later minded Phillips is one of the best 1on1 defensive guards in her respective class. 94 ft of frustration is what you’re dealing with. On the opposite end of the ball.. She has the creativity, poise and IQ to score at all levels at a high rate. She can shoot, attack and handle the ball to get by defenders, set up teammates and score on who ever has her as an assignment. A special talent out of Oswego.
Highlights
Jumping 10 spots and landing in the Top 50, Epps’s wide ranged of skills matched with her frame has earned her the leap. Alyssa has the strength, determination and the “do whatever” mindset, to play at the next level. On both sides of the ball she is a threat on the court, she can score around the rim, in the post and can knockdown the open shot. Defensively is where she stands out. Tough on the ball, communicates when in help, and can guard from perimeter to paint. She’s a plug and play type of player, that can do whatever the team needs of her to win.
Highlights
A highly talented player, who can play a range of positions due to her playing post when she was younger, and her transformation to a guard/wing as she started to play at a higher level. Lana’s high IQ, strong frame, and her tough as nails mentality is a sure separation from those at her position. Defensively, she can impact the perimeter and the post with the same amount pressure. On the opposite side of the ball.. Lana is a true 3 level scoring machine. Lights out behind the arc, mid range is pure and her size around the rim is a lot to deal with.
An athlete to her core, Williams is the perfect match of strength and speed.. but she knows when and how to use it. She can run the floor and take over as a playmaker when needed, but also can score without having to have the ball in her hand. A player who is full of energy and focus. Defensively she can contain and deal with most if not all positions on the court. A top tier “two-way” player who is forsure to put on a show this upcoming basketball season.
Full Package standout Trella makes her way on the updated rankings, due to keeping the scouts eyes on her during her AAU season this past summer. Kate has the simple skills that just get the job done. She’s a team first type of talent, that shines no matter situation, cause she’ll make the right play. She can rebound at a high rate while also putting solid numbers when needed.
Entering the rankings this year in the top 25 of her CG position, Kelley is coming off a strong AAU season where she left almost every event with a “Top Standout” Award. Makayla has the length, shiftiness and the awareness to become one of the top guards in her class. Kelley’s solid vision, quick handles, and her stamina (cross country standout) will allow her to continue to get better.
