There was no slacking at the beginning of her travel season either. She can knockdown the long ball, defend 2-5, and has the ability to play as a facilitator as well. A plug and play talent. 

Alyssa Epps Alyssa Epps 5'9" | SG Montini | 2024 State IL showed off her consistent shooting ability on Sunday afternoon against a talented Kentucky Ice 2024 team. Epps is a lefty shooting guard who can create off of the dribble and handle pressure really well. She was hot from behind the arc in this contest, hitting a plethora of three pointers for her Chicago Hoops Express 2024 team on their way to victory. She is smooth with her motion on the floor and moves well off of the ball. She doesn’t force shots and really only takes open looks for the most part, making a good amount of them. If this team can keep up what they did today, including Epps shooting, they are going to have a very successful Spring/Summer season this year all across the country.

Epps is “undersized” in the post, but that doesn’t stop her from being a force on the boards. Epps has a knack of being strong on the boxout and doing whatever she can to crash the glass. Her offensive abilities come in spurts, but when they’re on show you can tell that she has the ability to score on all levels when needed. On the defensive side she can stay with guards and battle with the bigs.

A versatile player who can play inside outside depending on what the situation needs. She has the low post strength and agility to impact the game from the paint, and the outside shooting confidence to make open shots and take big ones. Defensively she can guard the perimeters and smaller bigs due to her strength. Epps can be the enforcer on the team as well. 

Epps is your do it all type of player. If you need to her score, she can.. Need her to defend multiple positions, she will.. if you need presence on the boards, Alyssa provides that as well. Her strongest asset is her ability to adapt to the situation, her complete impact on the game are shown in the hustle stats. She’s tough, gritty and can be the muscle and enforcer for a program. She capped off her tourney championship with 15pts and 5 rebs.

Jumping 10 spots and landing in the Top 50, Epps’s wide ranged of skills matched with her frame has earned her the leap. Alyssa has the strength, determination and the “do whatever” mindset, to play at the next level. On both sides of the ball she is a threat on the court, she can score around the rim, in the post and can knockdown the open shot. Defensively is where she stands out. Tough on the ball, communicates when in help, and can guard from perimeter to paint. She’s a plug and play type of player, that can do whatever the team needs of her to win.
