The Michigan version of the event will feature some top notch talent in all classes and at all positions. It will be the perfect opportunity for coaches to see the outstanding talent coming through this state. Let’s preview the PGH Michigan Top 250 by looking at some of the players that are registered for the event.
Ava McKaig
Ava McKaig
Hartland has had some really good guard play in recent history and McKaig could help carry that flame. In true Hartland fashion, she’s a gritty guard that brings toughness to the backcourt. McKaig is a steady hand at the point guard position, taking smart shots and getting the ball to where it needs to be.
Wallace will be in the gym at the Top 250. Coaches, if you’re looking for a lead guard that can do it all, be sure to be in Grand Rapids next weekend. She sees when her post players have position on the block or seal defenders and she gets them the ball. Wallace can hit a cutter in stride and her jumper is pure.
Thomas is such a valuable asset for any coach and on any roster. She can defend almost any position and can lock down in paint and on the perimeter. Thomas’ versatility is something that’s sought after by coaches at all levels of basketball. Her good footwork and fluid movement are a large part of her upside.
Resio should be a must see prospect at the Top 250 for many college coaches. Resio really stamped her name on the prospect map during Swan Valley’s memorable playoff run. She’s a 2 way player, the type that makes it incredibly hard for a coach to ever take her off the floor. Resio is a multi level scorer that can bury a triple as well as attack the rim off the bounce.
Highlights
Foley is a sophomore that a lot of college coaches should be keeping an eye on at the PGH Michigan Top 250. She has nice straight line speed with the ball and can push past the defense into transition. Foley can catch fire from behind the arc and can swing the game momentum in an instant. She’s a plus defender as well with good defensive vision.
