Samantha Bautista Samantha Bautista 5'7" | CG SLAM! (Miami) | 2025 State FL / 5’7 G / Slam Miami
Bautista was a standout last year at the PGH 250 Expo. She has excellent handles and she embraces the role of the point guard. She is the floor general with great handles and can get anywhere on the court she wants to. Bautista can also score the ball and can do so from all levels on the court. she can shoot the long ball and she also has a nice float game. Bautista plays on both ends of the court and is a very good on-ball defender. She is an exciting player to watch and all eyes should be planted on her during the PGH 250 Expo.
Nacoya Blocton Nacoya Blocton 6'0" | PF Ridgeview | 2025 State FL / 6’0 / Ridgeview
Blocton played very well at this event last year, but look for her to be even better this year. Blocton has really positioned herself as one of the top Sophomore prospects in the State of Florida. Blocton plays solid defense and defends multiple positions on the court. She can defend on the wing and can also mix it up in the painted area. Offensively, she has some very good skills. She can put the ball down and drive to the goal. She can finish on both sides of the rim and can improvise in the paint as well (floaters, reverse layups, etc.). Blocton can also step outside and shoot the long ball. She is that “stretch-four” that can give defenses fits and create mismatches on the inside and outside. Blocton has already garnered college interest and she is just in her Sophomore season. She will be one to watch in the PGH 250 Expo.
Jiyah Hamilton Jiyah Hamilton 5'2" | PG Forest | 2025 State FL / 5’2 / The Villages
Hamilton was very impressive all summer long on the AAU circuit. She was impressive in a lot of areas. Defensively, Hamilton can play on-ball defense and can really harass the opposing guards. Hamilton was also impressive on the back end of the defense. A lot of times she was the last line of defense in the transition game and did a solid job of slowing teams down and allowing her teammates to get back on defense. She sometimes looked like a defensive safety on defense. Hamilton played on a team full of athletes who applied a lot of pressure. Hamilton was able to get a lot of steals by applying pressure and also she was able to get to a lot of deflected passes due to her speed and good instincts. Offensively, Hamilton can put the ball down and drive to the goal, but she can also shoot from behind the arc. Hamilton is hungry and she puts the work in. She will be a player to watch in the PGH 250 Expo.
Mia Heredia Mia Heredia 5'6" | CG Dr Phillips | 2025 FL / 5’3 / Dr. Phillips
Heredia was impressive all summer long in travel ball. Players stand out for numerous reasons in a game. Heredia’s athleticism and speed jumped out at me immediately. She applies great pressure on the ball and she is relentless on the court. She does a good job of communicating on the courts. Offensively, she is at her best in transition. She has good handles and can play the point guard position, but is more comfortable at the two, where she utilizes her speed to slash to the goal and also get to open spots on the floor for easy buckets.
Addison Fowkes 5’5 Carrollwood Day School. During the summer AAU, Fowkes showed some athleticism and has the ability to really run the floor. She also has a nice shot and flourishes in the pick and roll game. can also take the ball to the basket. Was impressed at Fowke’s athleticism and how well she ran the floor. Fowkes has a nice shot and she also gets to the goal on penetrations. She does a nice job of shooting off of the pick and roll. Defensively, she is quick and gets her share of deflections in the passing lanes.
The 2025 is loaded with talented players. These are just a few who have “stopped by” before. Many of the 2025s will have experiences “that hit nothing, but the bottom of the nets.” We will certainly be talking about them after the Expo.
