The #PGHTennesseeTop250 was loaded with talent, and there was high-level play throughout the day. Quite a few players came seeking to compete against the best in the area, and the Southeast Region and the action did not disappoint. Many players left their mark, and none other than the following GameChangers…
Kayli Clarksom Kayli Clarksom 6'0" briarcrest | 2023 TN (6’0/F/’23)
School: Briarcrest HS
Instagram: kayliclarksom
Twitter: @clarksonkayli
Kayli brought a lot of energy and effort to the floor. She is a stout forward who loves mixing it up in the paint. She ran the floor hard, and when she is with a PG that knows how to get out in transition, Kayli will be able to steal a few points in every game as she outruns her opponent the majority of the game. She was active on the glass and kept many possessions alive on the offensive end with her tenacity to go after the board. She makes up for what she lacks in agility and lateral quickness in her determination to outwork her opponents.
What Made Her a GameChanger:
Kayli is a player who does not have to have the ball in her hands to be productive and to make an impact on the game. What she does on the boards is what changes the game when she is on the floor. Defensively, she limits opponents to one shot as she secures defensive boards at a high rate. Offensively, she keeps plays alive and provides scoring with easy put-backs.
Bre’Aria Cannon Bre’Aria Cannon 6'0" | SG Link Academy | 2024 MO (5’11/G|F/’24)
School: The Webb School
Instagram: breariac_24
Twitter: @breariac_24
Bre’Aria is a highly versatile modern-day hybrid wing player whose game looked very good throughout camp. She was very competitive on the glass and was one of the few that really established rebounding position by blocking out. Her play on the defensive end of the floor got Bre on this list. She is a versatile defender who, pending her opponents’ style of play, could possibly defend the one through five. She showed that she can be handed the defensive assignment of the other team’s best player. She pressures the ball and maintains sound position. Her versatility on defense is something that her coaches can rely on.
What Made Her a GameChanger:
It is not difficult to determine what landed Bre on this list. Everything she does on the defensive end of the floor is a GameChanger. In a season of the game where offense is the focus, the truth of the matter is that defense still wins championships, and Bre is a championship talent because of what she brings on the defensive end of the floor.
Hallie Allen (5’8/G/’24)
School: South Gibson County HS
Instagram: N/A
Twitter: @hallie_allen77
Hallie proved one thing at camp: she can absolutely stroke the rock. She was highly productive from beyond the arc and often had it going early. Her ability to space the floor is what earned her a place on the GameChangers list. She is a player that has to be accounted for during every possession because all she needs is a little space to get the trey off, and when she is on, all you can do is get it out the nets.
What Made Her a GameChanger:
Hallie was one of the most prolific scorers from behind the arc. She shot it well throughout the day, and when someone can stroke the rock in the manner in which Hallie can, it changes the game, and she has the capacity to shift the momentum of any contest at any given moment.
Shelby Higgins (5’11/G|F/’25)
School: Richland HS
Instagram: N/A
Twitter: @shelby_higgins2
Shelby has good positional size and is a very skilled point forward. She was aggressive off the bounce throughout camp and finished well in the paint and at the rim. Her ability to score at multiple levels, as she knocked down numerous trey balls over the course of the day, was definitely a GameChanger. Her ability to score in a variety of ways, coupled with her skills and size, earned her a spot on the GameChangers list.
What Made Her a GameChanger:
Shelby was highly versatile on the offensive end of the floor. I know I talked about her ability to score the rock, but her ability to take the lead and orchestrate the offense separated her from the pack. Her ability to shift between the lead-guard spot and the off-guard spot and never see her production diminish impacts her squad’s game in many ways. She brings so much value to the floor when she is on it.
Abby Bryan Abby Bryan 5'10" | SF Lincoln County | 2025 State TN (5’10/G/’25)
School: Lincoln County HS
Instagram: lif3de1on_
Twitter: @AbbyBryan2025
I absolutely loved watching Abby play, as she demonstrated the ability to dominate on the floor without being highly athletic but very skilled. Early on, she was putting the ball on the floor and getting to the rack. When she was unable to get all the way to the cup, she turned her dribble penetration into setup drives for her teammates. She sees the floor well and makes on-time and on-target passes. As camp went on and players started to sag off her, she lit it up from beyond the arc. She showed her range in both shooting the trey ball off the bounce and in c&s opportunities.
What Made Her a GameChanger:
Abby’s ability to score the rock made her a sure bet for the GameChanger list. With a player with the scoring prowess that Abby possesses, her team will always have a chance night in and night out. With her ability to be an efficient multi-level scorer, she is always a few back-to-back possessions away from changing the course of any game.
