Talia Strode Talia Strode 5'7" | CG Cherokee Trail | 2025 State CO – Cherokee Trail
Talia Strode Talia Strode 5'7" | CG Cherokee Trail | 2025 State CO has the best arc on a shot I’ve seen in a while. Once she’s set, there is nothing the defense can do to stop her. Her shooter’s touch isn’t only limited to the three-point line. She also displayed a nice one-and-two dribble pull-up game. Talia was moved up to varsity at the end of last season year but going into this year I’m expecting to her to play a big role in the offense.
Essynce Contreraz– Holy Family
Essynce has flown a bit under the radar over the last two years, but I see that all changing after her play at Top 250 Expo. She has put in the time and it is showing. The Holy Family guard has a lot of skill and toughness to her game that separate’s her from other players. Even with all of that, her shot-making abilities are what makes her a prospect to be on the lookout for. Essynce is a knockdown shooter from 3 that has a very high percentage and shot it at a high clip at the expo.
Madeline Gibbs Madeline Gibbs 5'11" | SG Cherokee Trail | 2025 State CO -Cherokee Trail
Madeline Gibbs Madeline Gibbs 5'11" | SG Cherokee Trail | 2025 State CO has the length and height that confuses opposing players, people are unsure if she is a guard or a wing. This gives her room to shoot over the smaller guards and blow past the bigger wings to get into her mid-range game. Considering Madeline is only going into her sophomore year, it’ll be interesting to see how her game counties to grow and evolve over her high school career.
Mya Cotto Mya Cotto 5'7" | SG George Washington | 2023 CO – George Washington
Mya Cotto Mya Cotto 5'7" | SG George Washington | 2023 CO kind of took the city by surprise last year by bursting on the scene and providing instant offense. Much hasn’t changed since then except for her being able to knock down shots at a more consistent rate. With her length, defenders aren’t able to get a good enough contest while closing out to affect her shot.
Coryn Watts Coryn Watts 5'8" | CG Regis Jesuit | 2024 State CO – Regis
Coryn Watts Coryn Watts 5'8" | CG Regis Jesuit | 2024 State CO continues to shoot the ball at a high level and the best part is it seems as if she has made some improvements to her game. Like most great shooters, finding different ways to get your shot off is a must. Coryn has gotten better at creating her own shot off the dribble as well as countering by getting to the rim when people overplay.
