Two of the top post players came down in the same vehicle. If there would have been MVP trophies handed out, they may have not had room to ride back home. That's how dominant the Blocton sisters were down in "the paint." There were some other good post players who were also in the building. In this article, we look at the post players who were standouts at the PGH Expo.

Blocton was dominant on both ends of the court. She had her way offensively, scoring on the baseline and at will in the paint. Blocton rebounded well on both sides of the court. She was really good on the offensive glass, where she gave her team a lot of extra possessions and points. Blocton showed her versatility on the defensive end where she defended the wing players on the outside and the bigs in the middle.

Blocton was special out there at the Expo. The size, the versatile offensive game, and the skillset are very unique. She checked all the boxes this weekend. Dominated inside - check; Got every rebound in sight - check; Established that she is the top 2025 Forward in the State- check the rankings in October. One thing is for certain, Blocton has shown great improvement since last year and she was special then. Blocton showed great footwork, soft hands, and the killer game in the paint - finishing on the left, right, and every other area on the court as well.

Someone prognosticated that Sofi Miller would leave her mark on Daytona at the PGH 250 Expo. The Sophomore did just that. She showcased sound fundamentals, great footwork, and the ability to compete against some talented bigs in attendance. Miller is a special talent who can score on the inside and then step outside and knock it down from the outside. She also showed some good ball handling skills as she rebounded the ball and dribbled the length of the court a attempted a left-handed layup. Miller initiated the break herself, taking the ball from one end of the floor to the other. Her efforts on the board were impressive and she was going up against some quality power forwards and centers. Defensively, she was solid locking down the paint and played help side defense very well.

Vamvakitis showed the power on Saturday with several good takes to the basket. she ran the floor well and set some great screens on pick and roll. Defensively, she defended a few wing players and did well. All a few times she held her on defending the pick and roll. an ok job. Vamvakitis did a good job of crashing the boards

[player_tooltip player_id='352604' first='Xaniya' last='Jackson'] /2023 / 6'0 / Andrew Jackson

Jackson played well during the expo. She showed some aspects of her game that I hadn't seen before. Jackson secured rebounds, brought the ball down the court, and dished to the shooters on the wing. She even went coast to coast on a few occasions. In the paint, Jackson showed some good footwork. She had some nice up-and under moves and she mixed in a few drop steps as well. She was her usual self dominating the boards. When she secures the rebound, she doesn't lose it. Jackson played well and she is looking to a dominant 2022 - 2023 season.
