2022 All – Hammond Area Pre-Season 1st Team

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we continue with our preseason area 1st team listing, we'll be taking a look at the greater Hammond Area. This area is an area filled with small school talent and has produced plenty of state championship teams over the years. On this list you'll find that its a pretty mature list filled with Juniors and Seniors. These five kids will all help their respective programs to wins and possibly state championships. With the departure of Pierre the load and keys to the car have been passed down to Hailey as she will have to lead the Lady Warriors night in and night out if they have any aspirations to getting back to Hammond for a repeat state title ! The returning  all-MAIS Class 5A player from the 2021-22 season where Devall averaged 15 points, nine rebounds and five steals per game is back for her junior season for the Lady Bucs.  Coming off of a great summer with her Louisiana Dominoes AAU squad where she picked up a offer from ULM, Bailey has great size and strength at the wing position to go along with a pretty solid IQ.  A kid that does a lot of things good her ceiling is super high!","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["484859"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"The 5'10 Thompson and recent Loyola of New Orleans commit had a monster junior year capping it off with a state championship with her lady wave teammates.  A versatile wing who can play inside and out Libby's best attribute might be her stroke from deep!  The lefty is often times automatic from deep as long as she can get her feet set but her versatility allows her to go on the block and with a strong frame carve out position and finish through contact.  Coming off of an All-District season look for much of the same and an increase in scoring for Libby with the departure of All-State guard and Tulane signee Jaylee Womack.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["484897"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Energy Energy Energy that's what you get from this 1st Team All-District selectee from a year ago.  Jackson is a bouncy athlete that can totally take over a game with her motor and athleticism as she did in the first half of last years class 5a semifinal against Walker.  A rebounding machine who's best basketball is ahead of her Jackson will have to do more this year for her Lady Waves squad who will look to repeat as class 5a state champions.  A lot of that will depend on Jacksons production a unsigned senior someone needs to give this kid a chance and immediately!","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"align":"","mode":"edit"} /-->
