A couple of the players in attendance, [player_tooltip player_id='510470' first='Averie' last='Steele'] and [player_tooltip player_id='486421' first='Brittney' last='Anderson'] made the initial Watch List I dropped a couple of weeks ago

[player_tooltip player_id='510470' first='Averie' last='Steele']

Steele has been tagged "Woman of Steele" by me countless times yet her upside assures me even Kryptonite won't stop her. She already has the "college-ready frame" and her consistent progression will keep her mailbox full of next-level opportunities. Her solid inside play, coupled with finishing strongly after contact, yeah putbacks included because she rebounds on both ends. What she has had is stronger ballhandling in the open court and the midrange

[player_tooltip player_id='486421' first='Brittney' last='Anderson']

Anderson is one of those players that can take over a game from either end. Her "on the ball" defense is smothering at times and it creates turnovers, so do her quick hands, and since she can handle the ball after the steal to either score or dish, yeah court vision is solid, that's part of it. She also creates her shot and knocks it down while being defended yet she plays within herself, meaning she doesn't force shots

[player_tooltip player_id='842803' first='Amyah' last='Hall']

Hall is long and athletic, remember that will always be the base, I'm digging the transformation from my initial sighting. She had a growth spurt, toned up, and is doing things more fluidly on both ends. Good timing to block shots, she's alert on defense and plays the passing lane plus she is rebounding on both ends stronger, well she's finishing around the basket the same way, stronger

Maya Shotwell

Shotwell showed some pretty impressive court vision both in the set and in the open court and that really came in handy as she played the passing lane numerous times, I talk about that often because it's a lost art. She scored off the dribble with either hand and finished strongly after the lick, but she also did a good job of hitting the boards on both ends

Aniyah Shields

Shields had the armor completely on as I kept looking at her scratching my head and then it hit me. She took a hard hit at an event, came back, and scored some huge buckets yet her performance at the event assures me of future Top 100 in her class. She's athletic and can finish off the dribble with either hand, after contact. She also creates her shot nicely, plays the passing lane, and sees the floor, and when you factor in her defense ...

[player_tooltip player_id='802562' first='Rosanelly' last='Pastrano']

Pastrano was one of the standout shooters at numerous events I covered so I asked her to shoot the ball more, her response was "okay but I want to show you something else" which floored me. Okay, she backed it up as her ability to not only run a team but her being vocal on the court was nice, she directed teammates on where to be, she set them up for gimmes by threading the needle and she scored off the dribble. Just to pacify me, she dropped some mid to long-range

[player_tooltip player_id='486463' first='Madyson' last='Mitchell']

Mitchell continues to show me how well-rounded her game is and the type of upside she possesses. She actually enjoys playing defense and diving for loose balls, as well as outrebounding taller players but she's strong, attacks the basket relentlessly, and finishes after contact. She also showed the stop-and-pop jumper in transition, oh yeah, one more thing, she plays the passing lane
