Class of 2023 Hidden Seniors Ready for a Breakout Season

Teske is a tough matchup to deal with. A player that is all for grit and grind. She's been over shadowed a bit by the talent on this deep EKM team, but will stick out this year as her production will surely increase. A knock down shooter from the corner and a player that you have to keep your eye on in gap side help or she'll slip back door for an easy 2 points. If you like exciting basketball in general EKM is going to be a real treat to watch this year. With the graduation of Megan Roob I predict Richland will look to Kennedi for scorer guidance. A talented athlete that can score in a variety of ways from a quick deadly first step to a knock down trey ball. The Colts will more than likely look to play fast this year which will be just the pace Wagner is use to. Big things are in the works this year for Kennedi. We'll see how she does in guiding the Colts through a tough Region 1 play. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='419411' first='Tyler' last='Thompson']</strong> <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/tyler-thompson/"></a><strong>– Oakes - (5'9/SG) - </strong>Tyler averaged 3.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and nearly 1 steal a game. The most impressive attribute Tyler has is her work ethic. A guard that isn't afraid to rebound and uses her size and strength to her advantage when dealing with smaller guards. Thompson isn't afraid to settle just shooting jumpers on the perimeter. She has solid handles for attacking the rim and displays a nice floater game that she's worked on since sophomore year. If you like gritty basketball and are in the mood to travel for some good games then look no further than this pick. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='211174' first='Jami' last='Bopp'] - Sargent County - (5'6/SG) -</strong> Second leading scorer for the bulldogs last year behind All-Region player Annika Nelson, [player_tooltip player_id='211174' first='Jami' last='Bopp'] is a solid watch. A guard that can score at all 3 levels. A nice shooter to compliment a bulldog team that has struggled the past years with this portion of play. Bopp is a smart player that strives with the Princeton offense implemented last year. A tough guard that defends even harder. Jami is set for an impactful year and I predict she'll receive All-Region honors this year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='514491' first='Olivia' last='Hagen'] - Ellendale - (6'0/PF) -</strong> Leading rebounder for the Cardinals last year Hagen sat out a handful of games with knee complications, but looks to be healthy again with Volleyball season coming to an end and Basketball beginning with the blink of an eye. Olivia is a force in the paint and strives off getting offensive boards for easy put backs. Some might refer to her as the Barkley of the women's game, Olivia has a nice mid-range shot to add to her level of play and will surely be a threat to deal with in the post come District time. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
