Hatten left Legacy Early College to come over to Southside HS this past season. Kamya has a great touch around the cup and soft hands. She has no problems taking the rock coast to coast at times and finishing on the other end.
Hatten finished plays on both ends when it came to scoring the rock or claiming a rebound off the glass. Kamya battles through contact and traffic to pick up a rebound while keeping it high.
Yasmene really came to play today with her effort and attitude on the floor. She was very efficient around the cup when it came to rebounding the ball and especially did a good job of rebounding it well outside of her area.
She has a nice touch from the elbow in and shows a good skill set of passing skills and willingness to work hard on defense. Yasmene could look to play Golf or Basketball at the college level. How will the Lady Cavaliers do this season making the move down to Class 1A in the Upstate?
Harris has picked up some offers this off season from several NCAA D2 programs along the way. Tateyoina has great length and at times claims anything thrown in her direction. She can handle the rock up the floor in transition.
Tateyoina at times plays bigger than her size. She will connect on a short jumper from time to time. Harris is so effective on just effort and outworking players along the way.
Olivia was over the boards today and at times was collecting anything thrown off the glass. Martin really used her frame to carve out space and play down low all day long.
Olivia plays a bit rugged and had no problems working through contact along the way. She and the Lady Grizzlies will look to compete for a Class 1A State Championship this season coming from the Upper State.
Farmer has all the tools and intangibles you like in a player that’s for sure. Tashiana has good length and athletic ability to move all over the floor. She really needs to stay focused at times with her play and the sky is the limit for her.
Tashiana runs the floor very well and covers a lot of ground with her long and rangy frame. Look for her to have a breakout season this year for the Lady Knights.
Goss just delivers down in the paint. Darnaisha is so good inside the paint area while delivering put backs and 2nd chance buckets. She plays with her back the basket while scoring the ball from 2 feet in.
She does a good job of playing through contact and getting to the foul line in the process. Will the Lady Warriors make some noise this season in the Lower State?
Brown does a good job of keeping the ball up high and running the floor. Taylor really works from block to block and can step-out for the short corner or elbow jumper. She brings good versatility to the floor and a willingness to be coached.
Brown who also plays softball told Prep Girls Hoops she would like to play basketball at the college level.
