With so much of the attention on the Camden girls basketball program on Joyce Edwards Joyce Edwards 6'3" | PF Camden | 2024 State SC , it can be easy to overlook this talented frontcourt force. Prep Girls Hoops noticed Harris this past spring and summer on the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Triumph Region where she participated with Palmetto 76ers. Harris has offers from Claflin, Illinois-Springfield, Coker, Mars Hill, Benedict and a Division I offer from Southern University of New Orleans. She averaged a double-double last season of 10 points and 11.6 rebounds, playing an important role in the Bulldogs run to last season’s 3A state championship game.

Harris had a good summer and spring, and it shows in her recruitment. Tateyoina is the glue to this Lady Bulldogs squad on any given night she can take over a game at times. She brings such a passion and a will to win that’s so great appreciated when you watch her play. Tateyoina rebounds anything in her sight and runs the floor like a guard at times. Look for her to have a big season and help this Lady Bulldogs get a step closer to the ultimate goal.

Harris grabbed 18 rebounds last year in the Class 3A State Championship Game last season.

Harris recently picked up a few offers this fall. Tateyoina picked up a offer from Southern University and local NCAA D2 Francis Marion University. Harris brings good versatility to the floor and a MOTOR that never seems to end at times. She plays so well around the cup and on the glass with constant activity. Look for her to see more activity come her way this season for the Lady Bulldogs.

Harris has picked up some offers this off season from several NCAA D2 programs along the way. Tateyoina has great length and at times claims anything thrown in her direction. She can handle the rock up the floor in transition.

Tateyoina at times plays bigger than her size. She will connect on a short jumper from time to time. Harris is so effective on just effort and outworking players along the way.

The 2022-23 Bulldogs will have plenty of height to go along with the litany of talent that they will present. Add Harris’ 5-foot-11 to the other noteworthy forces in the frontcourt they have and scoring points on Camden will be extremely difficult. Harris ran on the grassroots circuit with Team Curry 17U but also participated with Palmetto 76ers Select 2023 on the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit on its Triumph Region. That included a stop at Georgia’s McEachern High School for Peach Games. Scoring, shot blocking, rebounding and toughness are among her strengths. Harris received an offer from Columbia HBCU Benedict College this summer.

Harris plays in the shadow of Joyce Edwards Joyce Edwards 6'3" | PF Camden | 2024 State SC at times on this Camden HS roster. Tateyoina really brought her game to the table this summer with her play on the Grassroots Circuit. She played with a few teams while finishing with Team Curry 17U GUAA on the Grassroots Circuit. Harris is relentless at times on the glass on both ends of the floor. She does the little things to put your team in position to win games. Tatyoina averaged 10 ppg, 11.6 rebounds and 3.1 blocks this past season.

Harris had herself a busy 2022 in the AAU realm as she spent time with a pair of top-tier travel teams. She was a top performer at Peach Games in Atlanta and carried that momentum all the way through War Games ATL at Suwanee Sports Complex. Last month, she announced she received an offer from Benedict College – a Columbia-based HBCU. One can see why the Tigers would be a suitor for Harris given her scoring, rebounding, shot blocking and height advantage. She will enter the 2022-23 season with her Bulldogs as a favorite to win it all in 3A play this upcoming season.
