Van Wert

Always a competitive team, Van Wert brings back a pair of very talented players. Sofi Houg is one of the best shooters in the conference, good range and accurate. Big scorer, consistent on both sides of the ball. Can defend, anticipates the game well and pushes the tempo. Another player to keep an eye on is Kyra Welch, a 2024. Similar to Sofi, the intelligence of Welch is outstanding as she is able to read the play and react well. Also a good perimeter game, she is a solid point guard who is a good leader.

Ottawa Glandorf

A traditional power who is no stranger to success, especially late in the season and deep into the tournament. [player_tooltip player_id='366819' first='Katie' last='Kaufman'] is a very talented 2024 who is long and athletic, able to utilize her length and wingspan to protect the house and she moves in the paint well. She can block shots well and just continues to improve. One incoming freshman who could provide some quality help is [player_tooltip player_id='537673' first='Karsyn' last='Erford'], a 5-4 point guard who is a great on-ball defender. Can rebound for her size and gets to the rim. They lost a couple of very key players from last season, but OG always has kids who step up and lead.

Lima Shawnee

They lost one of their key players [player_tooltip player_id='366817' first='Zoe' last='Best'] who moved to St. Louis. Shawnee does have come good firepower coming back with [player_tooltip player_id='403974' first='Grace' last='Freiberger'] and Cece Warsham. Grace is a very talented guard who also is a very skilled volleyball player. Joining Grace will be Cece who is a talented shooting guard who can make a difference in a game. She runs the floor well on the break, can handle the ball and finish or distribute. Expect the defending co-champs in the league to have the firepower to eye the top again this season.

Lima Bath

One of the best traditions in girls hoops in Ohio looks to put together another good season. Bath returns [player_tooltip player_id='521317' first='Rachel' last='Clark'], a 2023 who is an outstanding defensive player, always around the ball and plays with intensity. Good hands and able to turn a mistake into points. [player_tooltip player_id='366820' first='Claire' last='Foust'] is a 6-foot 2024 who has good range and a long athletic frame. [player_tooltip player_id='521315' first='Elena' last='Oliver'] is a 6-foot 2003 who can shoot the ball well from the perimeter and is able to score in the paint. She can guard multiple positions and looks to have another solid season.
