The Lady Bruins picked up several new players this off-season including <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='239707' first='Ariana' last='Johnson']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='175309' first='Jaida' last='Cameron'].</strong> Johnson a undersized shooting guard came over from Wilson HS while Cameron a left-handed lead guard played at Trinity Collegiate last season. The Lady Rams walked away with a 56-32 victory. Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='241663' first='Raeleigh' last='Rivers']</strong> led the way with 24 points. Rivers does her best work setting up shop out on the perimeter as a shooter. She was able to drop a handful of three pointers while getting looks. Junior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='252525' first='Kierra' last='Diggs']</strong> finished with 14 points and<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='487425' first='Jada' last='Blackwell']</strong> chimed in with 12 points in the win. Diggs is an athletic wing player with good length really looks to excel in the transition game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Socastee HS blew past Latta HS in a non-region contest. Freshman <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='380996' first='Kaliya' last='Herman']</strong> added 20 points for the Lady Vikings who were playing without <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='258135' first='Makayla' last='Legette']</strong> in the contest. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hartsville HS came up with a win in a nail biter over county rival Darlington HS last night 55-53.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='175350' first='Jasmine' last='Frierson']</strong> led the Lady Red Foxes with 25 points,<strong> Erianna Scott</strong> added 12 points while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='355170' first='Tatiana' last='Fisher']</strong> muscled in 10 points. <strong>Aryanna McPhail </strong>led the Lady Falcons with 16 points while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='271261' first='Jamera' last='Madison']</strong> added 11 points in the defeat. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Frierson has been a pickup for the Lady Red Foxes since arrival from A.C. Flora HS this off season. Frierson provides leadership and some court savviness to the backcourt. The game knotted at 34-34 at halftime saw both teams going back and forth with one another. The Lady Bears would pull away in the 2nd half to secure the win 65-56. <strong>Liberty Brown</strong> led the way with 19 points for the Lady Bears. She was quite active on both ends of the floor. Geathers claimed a ton of rebounds inside the paint while Morris was automatic at times on the free throw line.
