Taliya Rowe handles the ball for her Knightdale team controlling the tempo and making sure she gets the offensive plays going for her team. She knows how to move with the ball to make the best pass to her teammates, and she can relocate after making the pass executing her own cuts to the hoop. She’s a scorer for sure making it on all levels.
Malena Delisa comes right in for the Nighthawks making defensive stops for her team. She is aggressive going after the ball picking the pocket of her teammates, and she jumps in passing lanes with ease. She can run offensive sets on the other end controlling the ball and finding her open teammates. Her ability to sneak inside for the pass and bucket is difficult for her opponents to defend.
Sarah Utley is another guard who is a threat on both ends of the court. She can create her own offense taking the ball coast to coast after grabbing a steal. In half court offensive sets, she can set herself up for some nice jump shots or take it all the way to the hoop finishing at the rim. She does a nice job sliding into the gaps on defense like making effective backdoor cuts for some points.
Chayla McDaniel has stepped up for her team seeing some more playing time due to injuries for her senior teammates. She seems to be ready to score no matter where or when she gets the ball making sure she shows off her shot from deep or stays ready for a nice midrange jumper. She’s smart on defense knowing when to jump into passing lanes grabbing the steal to take the other direction. She immediately finds her teammates filling the lanes on fast breaks to get some points for her team.
Elle Stone is new to the hoop state coming from the west coast out in California which is certainly lucky for us. She has quickly become the star for her Mallard Creek team leading them with her three level scoring and ball handling. She certainly shows off her IQ as soon as she steps on the court knowing how to whip passes into her teammates, pull up for her shot from anywhere, or take it all the way to the rim herself. She is quick with her handles being able to use ball moves to create space from her defenders with ease.
