1. POLY- The Lady Engineers are fresh off of a 3A state championship with just about the entire squad returning. They were very impressive during fall league play with a solid core of Trinity Massenburg Trinity Massenburg 6'1" | PF Baltimore Poly | 2023 State MD (George Mason), Da’Bryia Clark (Norfolk State), Taylor Addison Taylor Addison 5'8" | SG Baltimore Poly | 2023 State MD , Riley Holliday and Mickelle Lowry. That group is as good as any in the area, and they have some young pieces to provide depth.
2. MCDONOGH- The defending IAAM A conference champions bring back an experienced and tough group. Paris Locke Paris Locke 5'11" | SF McDonogh | 2023 State MD , Anaiah Jenkins Anaiah Jenkins 6'0" | PF McDonogh | 2023 State MD , Makaela Quimby Makaela Quimby 5'9" | SG McDonogh | 2023 State MD and Ava McKennie Ava McKennie 6'2" | SF McDonogh | 2024 State MD will hold things down until Kennedy Umeh Kennedy Umeh 6'4" | C McDonogh | 2024 State MD rejoins the team (injury). Freshman guard Autumn Fleary Autumn Fleary 5'7" | PG McDonogh School | 2026 State MD will step right in provide plenty of scoring.
3. PALLOTTI- Coach Rashida Joiner has had her team prepared for a while. They have size in 6’3′ freshman Arianna Harris Arianna Harris 6'3" | C Bethel Christian Academy | 2024 State MD -Mott and Savannah Whitley Savannah Whitley 6'0" | C St. Vincent Pallotti | 2026 State MD and a platoon of guards that can go in Mary Amoateng Mary Amoateng 5'8" | PG Bishop McNamara | 2025 State MD , Nia Grymes, Syndey Anthony and Autumn Edison Autumn Edison 5'5" | PG Pallotti | 2025 State MD . Gabrielle Clary Gabrielle Clary 5'8" | SG Pallotti | 2024 State MD will provide versatility and scoring.
4. ST. FRANCES ACADEMY- The Panthers finished second in the IAAM A conference and return an experienced and capable group featuring Kameryn Dorsey Kameryn Dorsey 5'7" | PG St. Frances Academy | 2023 State MD , Andea Cherisier Andea Cherisier 6'2" | PF Saint Frances | 2023 State MD , Kimmya Hicks Kimmya Hicks 5'9" | CG St. Frances Academy | 2023 State MD and Sydney Sutton Sydney Sutton 5'8" | SG St. Frances Academy | 2025 State MD . They have some strong freshmen that will contribute right away in Dahni Suggs and Zoe Oxby.
5. MERCY- Mercy captured an IAAM B conference championship last season behind the stellar play of 2025 guard Milan Brown Milan Brown 5'9" | CG Mercy | 2025 State MD . She is the ultimate competitor, and they have a solid group with her. Transfer forward Myah Hazelton Myah Hazelton 6'4" | PF Sparrows Point | 2024 State MD will provide another scoring option as well as additional size to go with McKenna Carroll.
6. Howard- Howard came up short in the 3A title game against Poly and are looking to get back into the championship mix. Gabrielle Kennerly Gabrielle Kennerly 5'10" | SF Howard | 2023 State MD is a serious player of the year candidate, and her backcourt partner Samiyah “Chicago” Nasir is back and fully healthy. Meghan Yarnevich Meghan Yarnevich 6'2" | C Bullis | 2025 State MD is poised to have a huge sophomore season.
7. Forest Park- Coach Dunn has a dangerous group that always plays with speed and intensity. Aliyah Carroll is one of the most improved players in the area and will provide solid two way play. Amora Alston Amora Alston 5'1" | PG St. Frances Academy | 2025 State MD will hold down the point guard spot and Aniya Campbell Aniya Campbell 5'7" | CG Western | 2024 State MD will take care of the post area. Forest Park has several talented freshmen that are ready to contribute right away.
8. Glen Burnie- The Gophers had a stellar season last year and bring back senior Amourie Porter Amourie Porter 5'10" | CG Glen Burnie | 2023 State MD who is a legitimate player of the year candidate.
9. Pikesville- The Panthers will field a scrappy, well coached team that will be defending their 1A state championship. The core of Jayda Mayles, Tykeisha Hill, Korai Bowen, Bree and Aliyah Taylor Aliyah Taylor 5'10" | SG Pikesville | 2024 State MD and Amya Moore Amya Moore 5'7" | CG Pikesville | 2023 State MD are experienced and battle tested. Darielle Weems will provide depth and Kelsey Parker Kelsey Parker 5'4" | CG Pikesville | 2023 State MD will provide scoring upon her return from injury.
10. St. Timothy’s- Coach Vernon Harris has senior Aryss Macktoon Aryss Macktoon 5'11" | SF St. Timothy's | 2023 State MD who looked impressive in fall league play. She is a big-time player and another serious candidate for player of the year. This is a hard working group that should win a B conference championship.
11. Mt. Carmel- Coach Rob Long brings back a team that won a B conference championship last season and features 6’5” Hawa Doumbaya Hawa Doumbaya 6'5" | C Mt. Carmel | 2023 State MD (Maryland). The team will go as far as she can take them. Anyla Davis and Shayla Garnett Shayla Garnett 5'3" | PG Mt. Carmel | 2025 State MD make up a tough backcourt.
12. Old Mill- The Patriots are motivated to wrest the Anne Arundel County championship away from Glen Burnie. Senior Amani Watts Amani Watts 6'2" | C Old Mill | 2023 State MD will lead the way while manning the post with help on the frontline from Amya Douglas. Freshman point guard Mckenzie Singletary will step in and try to provide quality minutes.
13. River Hill- Coach Waters has a young squad, but freshman post Camille Nesmith, junior guard Taylor Shane and sophomore wing Dylan Watson are all serious players. Look for them to make some noise in Howard County.
14. Western- The Doves lost an historically good backcourt so there will be some drop off. 6’3″ Post Breasia Coit Breasia Coit 6'3" | C Western | 2024 State MD will lead the way with junior guard Maya Gray Maya Gray 5'7" | SG Western | 2024 State MD .
15. Harford Tech- Amya Goodsell Amya Goodsell 5'9" | SG Our Lady Of Mount Carmel | 2025 State MD and Aniya Gibson should cause havoc in Harford County this season. One of them should walk away with player of the year out there.
