Sidwell Friends really won this game in the 3rd quarter. They went on a 16-0 run that took a 4-point deficit all the way to a 12-point lead by quarter’s end. Autumn Fleary was excellent this quarter and really the whole half. She hit 2 threes late in the 3rd, one of them being a deep spot-up three and the other an end-of-quarter three she hit coming off a screen. Late, her free throw shooting and drives to the rim sealed the game, and she looked every bit of the nationally ranked player she is.

Autumn has risen from “really good” player to “elite’ over the season. Team Takeover has had an amazing season and Autumn has led the scoring in almost every game. She scored 19 points in the highly anticipated game against Team Durant and was solid against each opponent she faced.

was huge in the back end of this game with her driving ability. Autumn iced the game on a drive to the rim with roughly 30 seconds left. Autumn was fearless all game when attacking the rim, and she always does a great job getting to the line.

was committed early in this game, getting downhill and getting to the line. She had close to 10 free throws in the first half and was the leading scorer at the break. Autumn knocked down a couple of jumpers in Sidwell Friend’s win. Autumn has gotten off to a fantastic start in her junior season, and today was another great day for her.

Autumn Flearys mix of craftiness and athleticism is a unique combination that she possesses. She did a terrific job today getting downhill and finishing from tough angles. Autumn seeks out contact as well and does a great job getting to the line. Autumn has a nice jump shot and does a great job creating for herself with that ability to create space with her ball handling and skill.

Autumn Fleary’s ball handling and speed are up there with the best in the area, and it showed. Her ability to create space and get her shot off is fantastic. She used her speed to get by defenders and get to the rim well. Autumn was good in transition and had a solid showing in Sidwell Friends’ win over Christ the King.
