A lot of basketball was played in December going into the break, so let's recap some of the talented scorers in the area that had breakout games! From lighting it up behind the 3pt line or terrorizing the defense inside the paint, these players became the opponent's worst nightmares.

[player_tooltip player_id='345520' first='Tara' last='Willis'] (24 points vs El Saline)- Tara, the starting guard for Trinity High School has been producing this season fairly well for her knight's team. Known for more of her defense ability, high IQ, and playmaker, she's been getting around a consistent 12-14 points per game. The night of the game against El Saline on the road at El Saline she decided to turn it on a bit hitting 5 three-pointers, 5 free throws, and scoring 2 layups. Wills has a very set shot so she's very comfortable in that catch-and-shoot situation. Tara recently committed to Grand View University in Iowa.

[player_tooltip player_id='227853' first='Landon' last='Forbes'] (24 points vs Life Prep)- The top 150-ranked guard in the state of Kansas has been showing up consistently night in and night out for this eagles team. In the game against Life Prep, she poured in 24 points to get the win. Forbes can light it up from the three-point line with unlimited range and can get out in transition to finish as well. For the second half of the season look for Landon to take her Bishop Carroll team deep in the playoffs with her consistent play and scoring ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='191470' first='Avery' last='Lowe'] (25 points vs Maize)- Avery the force to be wreaking with all over the court dominated the paint against Maize. Avery shot 64% from the field for her mavericks team. Avery has shown all aspects of her game this season so far from putting the ball on the floor going coast to coast, finishing around the rim off of dump-off passes, or showing her shooting ability. What's special about Lowe is her sky is the limit, with her size and skill set, as she develops we could see a lot more nights like these.

[player_tooltip player_id='94954' first='Addyson' last='Brown']- Addy the walking double-double is averaging 20 points per game in her senior season. In her recent games, she had 20 points at halftime against ark city and 20 points with 13 rebounds against salina central going into the 4th quarter. Brown scores with the best of them at all levels and rebounds at an elite level. The signee to Iowa State is putting on a display this season like none other looking to take her team to the state championship which is a familiar stage for this loaded panther team.

[player_tooltip player_id='191482' first='Jordan' last='Sears'] (36 points vs St. James Academy)- Sears who signed to play at Newman University had a night of her life and one the fans will never forget. Jordan poured in 36 points in the win over St. James Academy which is the 3rd most in McPherson history. Sears showed us that not only can she create for others but she can create for herself as well. She can score it off the bounce or she can play off the ball. There's a good chance you will see a couple more big nights from her if she's not double-teamed or gap help doesn't come soon enough.

A lot of basketball was played in December going into the break, so let's recap some of the talented scorers in the area that had breakout games! From lighting it up behind the 3pt line or terrorizing the defense inside the paint, these players became the opponent's worst nightmares.
