Five Named to Battle In The Sunflower 17U First Team

Attending JUCO scouts got to see a substantial number of uncommitted 2027 prospects show their game, joined by numerous younger prospects. While it was tough to narrow down to an all-event first team, below are the five talents who made it. All-event second team and honorable mention will follow. Doing so enabled her defend with quickness and balance as well as handle in a variety of situations. She saw the floor well, made good decisions and scored when opportunities arose. Running the point or playing on the wing she effectively created offense with her solid handles, good passing decisions and shooting. She showed athleticism on finishes with either hand and good elevation on her jumpers. When running the point her and her team's play steadily got sharper. Lunds passing as a distributor, including down-the-floor looks to her bigs running the floor, made her handle more effective and provided more opportunities for quality perimeter jumpers. Once in the half-court she showed physicality and quickness. Where she really impacted was as a consistent perimeter shooter.
