The #3 Ranked Player in Illinois’ Class of 2024, Walton is a lethal shooter from beyond the three-point line and can make opponents pay with poor closeouts. Xamiya’s “in-the-gym” range makes her a threat to score anytime she crosses half court, especially when you consider her ability to speed past defenders and consistently score in the lane among taller post players.
The Michigan State commit did a little bit of everything on Saturday to help her Carmel Catholic team take home a win over Neuqua Valley. Jordan showed her scoring ability in the lane with her length and touch around the rim and consistently displayed confidence in her jumper from the mid-range and beyond the perimeter.
A top Guard in the Class of 2025, Kerstein has a wide range of skills and always plays under control with her pace and high IQ. Nikki can fill up the stat sheet with her three-level scoring and passing ability, and regularly makes plays on the defensive end with her communication and talent for anticipating her opponents moves.
Highlights
The sensational Point Guard was outstanding, once again, with her creativity and playmaking with the ball in her hands. She pushes the ball in transition as well as anyone and constantly keeps defenders guessing with her dazzling passing skills. Aubrey can also create and score the ball from anywhere on the floor with her quickness and confident jump shot.
Perhaps the top Post prospect at the Showcase, Latham impacted the game greatly with tough finishes in the lane and had a dominant performance on the glass. She is a more than willing rebounder at both ends of the court, giving herself and her team plenty of second-chance opportunities on offense. Alyssa also gives solid versatility on the defensive end with her length and athleticism to guard multiple positions successfully.
Ozzauto impressed all of the fans and coaches sitting courtside on Saturday with her stellar all-around play. She can play any of the Guard positions with her ball-handling skills and scoring ability from the perimeter, often showcasing strong drives to the rim, and finishing through contact. Jessie brings a ton of energy and nonstop effort when she’s on the court, and it shows in the way she plays defense and goes after every loose ball and rebound.
Starting off the day in the 9:30am game you can often see slow starts and a lack of energy from players, but that was not the case for Washington against Carmel. The super talented Point Guard was on her A-Game throughout the contest, knocking down clutch threes from well beyond the three-point line and showing her toughness with strong drives to the basket. Caitlin keeps getting better and better every time I see her play and I expect her rise to continue over the next year and a half.
