Tatum is settling in nicely at her new school, St. John’s College. She is bigger and longer and more versatile. Her length is a problem on defense, and she fits nicely into their system. Look for her numbers to improve as the season moves along.
I caught the second half of National Christian Academy at Pallotti on Wednesday night. The game was out of hand by then with Pallotti up 30 plus, but Aleah was still scrapping and competing. She got really hot and made 4 or 5 threes in the second half. She showed off some nice bounce and the ability to create space and get shots off.
Camille Nesmith
Camille Nesmith
Camille has solid fundamentals including excellent footwork. She can finish in the paint with both hands and has a nice touch out to fifteen feet. She is very long and establishes excellent post position. I like how she fights through screens and contests any shot in her area.
Taylor Shane
Taylor Shane
Taylor has good ball handling skills and is a good passer. She consistently got into the paint in the game against Arundel which broke their defense down. She showed off range on her jumper out to the 3-point line. She played sound on ball defense.
Dylan Watson
Dylan Watson
If you need long and athletic defender that can take the other team’s best offensive threat out of their game, you might want to take a look at Dylan. She is very disruptive while playing passing lanes and can anchor the defense at the top of a zone. She gave Arundel fits in their match up. She also did some good work on offense, crashing the boards and getting extra possessions for her team.
Madisyn exploded for 43 points and 10 rebounds with five three pointers made. That outburst put at the top of the scoring list for D.C. players. Madisyn is a strong scoring guard that can handle point guard duties as well. She is also a solid on ball defender.
Layla jumped out to an early lead in the PG county scoring lead with 28 points. She scored at all three levels and added 10 steals for good measure.
