I thought Bay’Shanna showed good qualities of a solid point guard and once she gets some more experience under her belt, her stock will rise. She has nice court vision and does distribute the ball well for a freshman. Also nice handles and able to control the tempo of the game.
She has quite a first week of varsity basketball. In the game I saw, she showed me she is able to read the play well and understands the game. She has quick hands and good body control when she pushes the ball downhill toward the rim. She can score strong at the rim in tough situations. A solid rebounder with good handles. She has made a presence for herself at Fairmont and even in their big loss to Springboro last week, she delivered. Thornton scored half of her teams points and she has a lot of positive attributes as a freshman. She can score inside, take the perimeter shot and score in transition. A solid defender and can play physical.

She was impressive in their game I saw last week and should have a nice future with the Eagles. Riley is a three-point threat and is a good catch-and-shoot player from the perimeter. She moves well without the ball and gets into position to be a threat. Can play an uptempo style of game.

Another starting freshman from Troy Christian who showed moments of brilliance last week. She is active and quick and anticipates the play in advance. Court awareness is pretty good, she uses quick hands to make plays for her team. Can play well north-south and push the tempo.
