A key piece of the Meadowdale offense, Janiyah has some great athleticism that she uses to create scoring chances. She is long and quick with active hands and can defend multiple positions. I do like the way she can slash to the rim and score through contact.
Plays the game at a fast pace and able to use the tempo to her advantage. She is only a sophomore and with a lot of room to continue to grow, her development could fly off the chart with contnued hard work. (featured photo above)

As a freshman, she dominated the Dayton City League, plays with great body control, and has made significant improvements to her game throughout the season. averages around 18 points per game and grabs 9 boards each game, making her a powerhouse on the glass. Excellent agility and handling skills allow for shot creation and rim-finishing. As her game keeps getting better, she has scored 20 points in 5 of her last 7 games. Good on-ball defender who can force errors from you.

She has quite a first week of varsity basketball. In the game I saw, she showed me she is able to read the play well and understands the game. She has quick hands and good body control when she pushes the ball downhill toward the rim. She can score strong at the rim in tough situations. A solid rebounder with good handles. Playing alongside Drake at Meadowdale is a player who at 5-9 does a good job on the boards and can rebound well and post up in the paint. Also has a midrange shot, she is expected to be a contributor at both ends of the court. Coach Chad Miller tells me she could be special like Drake, looking forward to watching her progress.
