She had a broken knuckle on her non-shooting hand so she had a little trouble with handling the ball with her left hand and gripping the ball on her shot, but she still contributed 11 points in the victory. Sunnie is a steady guard that applies good pressure on defense. She defends the ball well and plays the passing lanes. Offensively, she stretches the defense with her three-point shooting ability. When the defense closes out hard she can get into her 1 or 2 dribble mid-range jumper. She also finished in transition and got her teammates involved. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='465929' first='Cydney' last='Sanders'] | PG | Episcopal Collegiate | 5'8 | 2026</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Anytime a freshman starts at point guard on the varsity team they must possess the ability to be poise and calm under pressure. Cydney did not look like a freshman running the show for her team. She was under control, never rushed or looked hurried, and she made good decision with the ball. Her ability to finish plays through contact with the weak hand was like that of an upperclassman. I really like her potential on the defensive end. With her length and quickness, she has the ability to be a lock down defender. She defended the ball well and was disruptive off the ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='306112' first='Riley' last='Brady'] | Forward/Post | Episcopal Collegiate | 5'11 | 2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Riley had the best performance of the night. The 5'11 forward showed her versatility on both ends of the floor. Defensively she controlled the paint with her rebounding and shot blocking. When Episcopal went to a full court press, Riley anticipated well and got deflections and steals that led to easy transition points. Offensively, she showed a little bit of everything. She handled the ball and made plays in the open court.
