The players all played with passion! The coaches all orchestrated the games with precision! As you watched these girls play, you knew they had put hours of work in to display their skills and talents. These 5 players can change the momentum and outcome of a game and each of these girls, definitely, know how to play!
Cherish Haywood Cherish Haywood 6'0" | SF Mustang | 2025 State OK 2025 – Mustang: Cherish is an all-around basketball player. She can shoot. She can drive. She can rebound. She plays an elite level of defense and can read the pass almost every time. Cherish had 3 or 4 steals plus a hand full of deflections that turned into easy buckets for her team. She is one to keep on everyone’s radar as she is only a sophomore and already playing basketball at a very high level.
Mya Alston Mya Alston 6'0" | SG Mustang | 2026 State OK 2026 – Mustang: I had heard the name Mya Alston Mya Alston 6'0" | SG Mustang | 2026 State OK thrown around with words/phrases like “next level”, “amazing”, “impact player” and “plays ball the right way” but never had the opportunity to watch her play until the Bishop Kelley Invitational – and, YES… she really is THAT good! She moves and plays ball like she knows EXACTLY what she is doing. She uses her length to her advantage on both ends of the court. Offensively, she can finish at the rim with both hands, her jump shot is accurate and impeccable, she cuts through the lanes with purpose, she tracts the ball well when rebounding and everything she does on the court seems deliberate; watching Mya play is exciting and one can only imagine how great she will be by the time she graduates high school. Montay Davis Montay Davis 5'6" | CG Tulsa Central | 2024 State OK 2024 – Tulsa Central: Montay is fast – fast on offense and fast on defense. She has some of the quickest hands when playing defense. She keeps the ball handler in front of her and in the blink of an eye, she has swatted the ball away or stolen the ball. Montay attacks the basket no matter who is in the lane and she can shoot from anywhere. She is fearless and ferocious; if there is a loose ball, she is right there. Montay is a court general and is good about letting her teammates know where they need to be. Tulsa Central should have a successful season and Montay will be a big reason why.
Addy Matthews Addy Matthews 5'9" | SG Kingfisher | 2024 State OK 2024 – Kingfisher: Addy dropped 20+ points in each of the 2 games that I watched her play in at the Cleveland Invitational and it looked natural for her. She looked confident and composed when bringing the ball up and was ready to shoot at all times. The Kingfisher squad moves the ball really well with all 5 players touching the ball almost every possession which is ideal for shooters like Addy as she was able to square up while the defense was scrambling to get back into position. Addy has a great group of players around her; no one was selfish and they didn’t force their offense. It will be exciting to watch how Addy’s game evolves as the season continues.
Raegan Snider 2025 – Kingfisher: Raegan is another Kingfisher player that performed well at the Cleveland Invitational. She positions herself well for the entry pass from her guards and goes up strong, using good feet work to get around her defender. Raegan moves well in the paint and makes accurate passes back out to her guards if her shot isn’t there; she isn’t rushed as she trusts her guards to get the ball back into her. Raegan runs the floor well and has a nice little jumper with a quick release. Raegan definitely makes an impact when she is on the floor.
