One of the first things I noticed watching her was the court vision. It was excellent as she continued to make the right decisions from the point guard position. She has good size for a guard and the versatility was on display when she grabbed 26 rebounds in a game earlier in the season. She can shoot it and has great shot mechanics. She gets by the defense and will find the open teammates or finish her own shots. She has big upside and could easily make a case for moving up the rankings in the future.
A knock down shooter, she’s a good athlete on a team that loves to get up and down the floor with full court pressure. She fits in nicely running the floor and wreaking havoc with defense. She is able to guard 1 through 3 as a shooting guard who can also play 1 through 3. Lake Washington has several players who can do the same and are interchangeable. She leads a balanced scoring attack at just over 10 points a game. Lake Washington is 17-1 rolling into the playoffs ranked 2nd behind Garfield who just lost their first game of the season to Lakeside last week.
She plays for #2 ranked team in Class 4A in Woodinville. Her role is mostly as a shooter on a team with many weapons. She went off for a season high 28 points in their only loss to Lynden Christian. She is a solid shooter and has good size and length on the perimeter. She is a 3 that could step up and guard multiple positions. As she becomes more aggressive and active in the future, she will have a chance to be a star for a storied program. Woodinville is 17-1 on the season.
I’m putting her here because she has a big upside. She plays the game with a smoothness as a lefty guard who can score on all levels. She plays under control and makes good decisions. She will hit the open three or use her mid-range game. She reads the defense and changes speeds well. She is strong and that athletic ability shows up in the open floor with creative and strong buckets on the break.
