As completion of the first third of the 2023 season lies immediately ahead I thought I would share a look at several post players outside the top 80 who are having substantial impacts on their respective teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='192782' first='Tatum' last='Tindall'], 6'0", PF, Manhattan - A bit on the slender side Tindall has solid transition speed and good hands in transition. She consistently catches well on the move and off a teammates dish. Her block game is diverse. I especially like her ability to work off the block catch, square, and step through to score. Gets shots up quickly inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='231277' first='Sadie' last='Estill'], 5'10", PF, Haven - Estill has a solid, all-around game to go with solid strength, north-south speed, and suprising quickness to defend ball handlers when needed. Not outstandingly fast, Estill runs and transitions well with athleticism. She has a nice pull-up mid-range jumper in transition and will put together a couple post moves around the basket to create a shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='265127' first='Carly' last='Dameron'], 6'1", C, Eisenhower - Dameron has terrifc size and length. Add solid strength to that list and you have a lane clogging big who disrupts entry passes and scores well around the basket. She is especially effective catching on the move inside and out of the power dribble, back to basket game. Dameron will step out to hit the three ball on occasion. Runs well also, making her especially difficult to stop off the catch. She recently racked up 28 points and 10 rebounds in a one point loss to Salina Central.

[player_tooltip player_id='335962' first='Jalyiah' last='Manuel'], 6'0", PF, Wichita East - Manuel had a great summer and her development as a force just continues to develop. Fast, quick and athletic Manuel catches well on the move and can finish on the fly with both hands. She has a strong build and terrific length.

[player_tooltip player_id='454143' first='Kinley' last='Rogers'], 5'10", PF, Hoxie - Good frame and strength. Quick feet off the face-up and back-to-basket game. Elevates and releases quickly on the jumper. Sophomore highlights show only 1 use of the left hand to finish and it was a sorta contested scoop from right side. Very good post game. Solid transition speed. Highlights show nothing about defensive ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='503313' first='Claira' last='Dannefer'], 6'0", PF, Abeline - Dannefer has a solid frame and good length. She makes effective use of up-and-under moves from the high post area as well as the block. She also elevates well and goes up quickly off the interior catch. Notable is Dannefer's athleticism to pull-in a not on-target pass and do something with it. She transitions with speed and actively boxes out.

[player_tooltip player_id='453778' first='Ava' last='O'Brien'], 5'11", PF/C, De Soto - O'Brien has some a lane clogging frame. She walls up well against post-up moves and when anticipating basket drives coming from the perimeter. She also has solid north-south transition speed.

[player_tooltip player_id='300817' first='Aubrey' last='Olander'], 6'0", C, Little River - Gathered 13 boards in state quarterfinal loss to Burlingame. Two time Wheat State League first team. Long with athleticism, she runs the floor well and uses commands defensive attention. Through 8 games is averaging 15.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 1.6 rebounds per game.
