Here’s a look at Waterloo West players who stood out Friday:
Williams, an Oklahoma recruit, is a handful. She’s a wonderful combination of power and finesse with a high skill level. She’s improved her mid-range and behind-the-arc game through the years. She attacks the glass with a purpose on both ends of the court. Her athleticism allows her to guard multiple positions.
Poock is a gamer with game. If the defender gets up in her space, she blows by with the dribble. Sag off of her, and she knocks down threes. She possesses an excellent understanding of what her coaches want and runs the show with expertise. She’s a dogged on-ball defender and a vocal leader. The fans at Bradley University are going to be thrilled by her arrival next season.
Central College received a steal in picking up a commitment from Moore. She’s agile and athletic at 6-1. She displays strong post moves and is effective shooting with either hand. She’s a solid rebounder and interior defender. She sets super screens and works well within the framework of the offense.
Isabell Lederman

Lederman understands her role on a team loaded with talent and executes it well. She moves well without the ball, spaces the floor and plays with her head up. She’s a willing and able passer and screener, rebounds effectively and defends multiple positions with her athleticism and length.
Niya McGee

McGee is a smart player who blends well with her teammates. Her ability to knock down threes helps spread the floor and open up lanes for her teammates. When defenders push out on her, she penetrates quickly. She can get to the basket or move it along if help comes. She’s a tenacious on-ball defender.

The only non-senior in this group, Gettman mixes in well with the veterans around her, playing within herself and maximizing her opportunities. Her versatility allows her to fill in wherever needed when she comes off the bench. She has a high basketball IQ and understands her role.
