<p>The Faith Christian Lions (15-11) began the season 2-6 and were unsure of the direction they were heading in under 1st year head coach Andy Sarasty. The Lions are playing in their first state championship game in school history and have won six straight games coming into play today. The Lady Lions are also coming off a 77-65 win over St. John's Country Day in the 2A Semifinals where they were led by 6'1 sophomore combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='409186' first='Holland' last='Harris'] going off for a team-high 35 points and 11 rebounds in the win. 6'1 sophomore forward [player_tooltip player_id='244190' first='Kylee' last='Kitts'] was also sensational adding 17 points, 14 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots in the semifinals. </p>

<p>The Horeb Christian Mustangs (19-4) will also be making their first state championship game appearance in their first year playing in the Florida High School Athletic Association. The Lady Mustangs come into play today on a 10-game winning streak that dates back to January 7, where they lost to Miami Country Day who will be playing in the 3A Championship Game on Saturday at 10 a.m. In the semifinals, Horeb Christian defeated Evangelical Christian 66-58 where they were led by 6'1 junior small forward [player_tooltip player_id='572864' first='Emely' last='Rodriguez'] who finished with a game-high 24 points and 13 rebounds after being held scoreless in the opening quarter. </p>
