State record breaking night
It was a night to remember for Tri Village 2023 Rylee Sagester Rylee Sagester 5'6" | CG Tri Village | 2023 State OH . The PGH #6 ranked senior in the last update has left her name in the state record books. Sagester knocked down her 376th career 3-pointer setting the new Ohio record for career threes by a player. The Marshall signee is a deadly offensive threat, not only able to score from behind the arc, but can also put the ball on the floor and get toward the rim. Also an outstanding passer, Rylee looks to lead her team to a run at a state title.
TV ready and loaded
In addition to having Sagester as a weapon, Tri Village also brings in 2023 Morgan Hunt Morgan Hunt 5'10" | PF Tri Village | 2023 State OH , a solid wing who can score in all three phases. An excellent defender and runs the floor well, able to add a huge plus to the TV offense. One of the most underrated players in Ohio is 2023 Torie Richards, a 5-7 guard who is overlooked but she is so crucial to the success. A very talented defender, Richards is active on the court and provides stabile scoring for the Pats. Watch for 6-3 Kynnedi Hager Kynnedi Hager 6'3" | PF New Madison Tri-Village | 2026 State OH , who is improving every day in the post. She is a strong force in the paint with good footwork.
Luck of the Irish?
It wasn’t the kind of season Catholic Central would have wanted, but a couple of players opened my eyes in their tough battle with TCN. Of course it all starts with 2024 Jordyn Smoot Jordyn Smoot 5'9" | CG Springfield Catholic | 2024 State OH , ranked in the top 50 in the latest PGH Rankings. Jordyn is an all-around threat who is a strong player with the ability to play physical and get to the rim. She also can knock down the perimeter shot while playing outstanding defense. MyKaila Ramsey is a 6-foot 2025 who is an outstanding rebounder, including the ability to grab them on the offensive end. An athlete wing, she disrupts things on the defensive end also.
Southeastern hoping to get out
They went the opposite of Tri Village on the bracket and now Southeastern is looking to get out to districts. I really liked 2023 Kelsey Vollrath, a long and athletic wing who can do a lot to help her team. Nice midrange jumper with consistency, runs the floor well and can create shots. 2025 Brooke Nelson Brooke Nelson 5'7" | CG South Charleston Southeastern | 2025 State OH impressed me with her ability to control the tempo of the game. Great handles, shift and plays with swag, can score off the move and has range. Getting better.
A tourney win for North!
It has even quite a turnaround for Tri County North. They won their first tournament game in a long time and the future looks good. 2023 Rilee Terry is a phenomenal post who impressed me with her ability to control the boards and hit the difficult shots. She is wrapping up a great career. 2025 Nani Garcia can light you up from the three as her game has improved, she plays so hard and isn’t afraid to get in there and mix it up. Also very impressed with the poise of 2026 PG Bella Cherry. I liked the way she ran the show, quick hands and handles the ball well with both hands. Good range and getting better.
