KIPP Tulsa: Class 3A – District 6 Champions!

The KIPP Lady Bulldogs are sensational! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='318154' first='Heaven' last='Smith'] 2024: Heaven plays the game at a speed that not many can keep up with. She is fast - not just regular fast but extremely fast! ~ and, to compliment her speed is her control. Heaven is one of the best ball handlers - regardless of class. She can weave through the defense with ease and she will, at some point in the game, get every defender off balance. Smith is aggressive in every aspect of the game. She attacks the basket with ferocity and finishes through contact. She is nice when she attacks the rim but better than her finishes is her elite shooting from deep -- if Smith is shooting from beyond the arc, it's going in! Heaven not only scores at will but she rebounds like a big. Defensively, she is quick! She moves extremely well laterally and she had, at least, 7 steals against Metro Christian. Smith finished the game with 23 points!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='556754' first='Rekiah' last='Bowen'] 2025: ReKiah is a multi-faceted player and she was doing it all against Metro Christian. She has a soft touch around the rim and once she has positioned herself inside the paint, she is nearly unstoppable - she maneuvers around the defender and she has a nice turn around jumper. Bowen is strong inside but she can handle the ball and rebound with the best of them. She is athletic and on many occasions, she simply out jumped her opponents for the rebound. Defensively, ReKiah is suffocating. She locks up her opponents on the perimeter and protects her basket well when defending inside. Bowen has a high ceiling and she is a player who has the utmost potential to be great! ReKiah finished the game with 25 points. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='318168' first='Brianna' last='Gist'] 2024: Brianna was the spark behind the Lady Bulldogs success against Metro Christian. She may not have scored a ton of points but she was absolutely affective on the offensive end. - she rebounded the ball well and kicked it out to her open teammates and she assisted on a number of baskets for the Lady Bulldogs. Gist is the player that does the little things to secure team wins! On defense, Brianna was a force - making numerous stops inside, cutting off the baseline when her opponents attempted to get to the rim and she caused many turnovers when the person she was defending had the ball. Gist is a hustler and she plays with alot of grit and toughness. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cameryn Hinson 2025: Hinson is a player that gets it done on both ends of the court. She had numerous offensive rebounds - followed up with nice finishes through contact. She doesn't shy away from inside traffic and she is strong when grabbing boards. Cameryn does an excellent job of securing the ball and does not rush to get rid of the ball. In transition, she runs the floor well and finishes at the basket, efficiently. Defensively, she uses her length to her advantage when playing on ball and had a number of deflections and caused a number of turnovers. Hinson is aggressive when she gets her opponents in the corner and there were many occasions where her intense defense simply over powered the offense. Cameryn finished the game with 10 points!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
