Franklin County has their eyes on a return to Rupp Arena and Juliana’s post presence gives them a talented Center who can score and rebound at a high level when given the opportunity. Frazee can be a difference maker for the Lady Flyers as most teams in the 11th region can’t hold up against size of her type.
Highlights
Duck is third on the CAL roster in scoring but has the potential to lead them in scoring any night out. As defenses focus on Wilkins and Knight, Bailee gets to see single coverage and she can get to the rim with the best of them. If she can get hot from 3, CAL can be a serious threat to get deep into the postseason.
Alivia has been a consistent player all season for Nelson County and shown she can score off the bounce or in the post. Morris knows her limitations so she doesn’t try to step out and shoot a bunch of threes or do too much. Nelson is a sleeper in the region and has a chance to get to Rupp if Morris can be a dominant force for the next few weeks.
Bowling Green is deep and talented and are the heavy favorites to win the 4th region heading into postseason. A big shooting guard, Katy can add a different dimension to their offense if she can get hot from three. She’s primarily been shooting threes all season and if she can improve her percentage over the next month, the Lady Purples are going to be on the short list to win it all at Rupp.
