Pee Academy Claims Region Title:
Pee Dee Academy came down to the Grand Strand and took care of business this week to claim the region title in the SCISA Ranks. The Lady Golden Eagles won 37-17 over the Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach Lady Saints. Pee Dee Academy moves to (19-1) heading into the SCISA Class 3A State Tourney this weekend. Senior Abby Johnson Abby Johnson 5'8" | PF Pee Dee Academy | 2023 State SC led the way with 10 points while Claire Eskridge added 8 points and Rebecca Hammond 5 points.
The Lady Saints struggled to score from the get-go. Pee Dee Academy led 18-7 at the halftime break and never looked back. Junior Carly Bell Jackson led the way with 8 points while Payton Rumley Payton Rumley 5'8" | PF Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach | 2024 State SC added 7 points in the loss. The Lady Saints (14-7) will open tourney play this coming Saturday in Sumter at the SCISA Class 3A Playoffs.
SCHSL Class 1A Results:
Military Magnet Academy is looking for a 3-peat this coming season. The Lady Eagles defeated East Clarendon HS 107-23 in the opening round. The Lady Eagles got plenty of scoring from Kaelin Davis Kaelin Davis 5'4" | PG Military Magnet | 2023 State SC 21 points, Morgan Richardson Morgan Richardson 5'2" | SG Military Magnet | 2023 State SC 21 points, Sabri Mitchell Sabri Mitchell 5'9" | SF Military Magnet Academy | 2025 State SC 16 points, Dream Watson Dream Watson 5'3" | PG Military Magnet | 2025 State SC 15 points and Chazmin Bradley Chazmin Bradley 5'2" | PG Military Magnet | 2023 State SC 14 points. The Lady Eagles will play Latta HS next who defeated Bamberg-Ehrhardt 48-17. Freshman Kaliya Herman Kaliya Herman 5'2" | SG Trinity Collegiate | 2026 State SC led the way with 20 points, Makayla Legette Makayla Legette 5'5" | SG Trinity Collegiate | 2025 State SC added 13 points while Junior Shawniza Bethea Shawniza Bethea 5'3" | PG Latta | 2024 State SC added 13 points.
Lake View HS moves on with a win over Bethune-Bowman HS 69-21. The Lady Wild Gators were led by Gwendasia Page Gwendasia Page 5'8" | SF Lake View | 2024 State SC with 21 points, Jaleya Ford Jaleya Ford 5'4" | PG Lake View | 2024 State SC 20 points and Lakayla Chavis added 13 points. Carvers Bay Lady Bears keep moving on with a home victory over over Palmetto Scholars 58-34. D’Essence Graham D’Essence Graham 5'3" | CG Carvers Bay | 2025 State SC scored 15 points, Alaina Morris added 9 points.
Junior forward Jerchel Geathers-Washington Jerchel Geathers-Washington 6'0" | PF Carvers Bay | 2024 State SC added 8 points in the win. Lacy Gerald Lacy Gerald 5'5" | PG West Ashley | 2024 State SC scored 12 points for Palmetto Scholars Lady Phoenix.
Trinity Mickell Trinity Mickell 6'0" | C Allendale-Fairfax | 2024 State SC helped Allendale-Fairfax HS to a victory over Hannah-Pamplico HS 43-31 last night. Mickell a junior post player finished with 28 points in the win.
The McBee Lady Panthers will advance to the 2nd Round with a victory over Dixie HS 65-26 last night. Dianne Williams led the charge with 25 points while Stormy Harper Stormy Harper 5'5" | SG McBee | 2024 State SC added 12 points in the win.
St Joseph’s out of Greenville defeated Calhoun County HS 67-32. 8th grade guard Ginny Anne Dumont Ginny Anne Dumont 5'10" | SG Eastside | 2027 State SC led the way with 26 points for the Lady Knights.
Calhoun Falls Charter had no problems with C.A. Johnson last night cruising to a 53-25 win. Autumn Thomas Autumn Thomas 5'5" | PG Calhoun Falls Charter | 2025 State SC and Anastasia Gillam Anastasia Gillam 5'3" | PG JL Mann | 2027 State SC both scored 18 points in the victory. Estill HS Lady Gators defeated Lamar HS 66-56 behind the strong play of Lyric Jones Lyric Jones 5'7" | SF Hampton County | 2027 State SC with 35 points.
Christ Church, Denmark-Olar, High Point Academy, McCormick HS and Lewisville HS all advanced with wins today. All these teams will move onto Round 2 on Friday.
