The UCLA commit starts off our rankings as the number one point guard. Ginny Anne will begin her senior season with no pressure as she has already made her decision of where she will attend college. Fittingly so, she will be playing for the National Champions, the UCLA Bruins. Congratulations GA!

Ranked as the #1 overall PG in the 2027 class. Her passing ability is the key to her game. Ginny Anne is an elite floor general when it comes down to her making the right decision and game winning pass. She can thread the needle, do a no look pass, get the ball in between two and three defenders. Dumont is also 5’11 so that makes it easy to see over smaller defenders. She has numerous college offers from some big time schools that obviously know what a difference maker she will be.

Ginny Anne Dumont Ginny Anne Dumont 5'11" | PG Providence Day (NC) | 2027 State NC knows how to make her cuts to the basket effective and make her adjustments to score her points.  She uses her length to her full advantage getting her hands in the way of her opponents, and she’s smooth handling the ball pushing the tempo quickly up the court.  She protects the possession even with tough pressure on her.  Her adjustments to get the passes to her teammates make sure her opponents don’t get in the way.

Ginny Anne (GA) will be a huge part of Providence Day success if they want to make a run at the Private Schools State Championship this season. Dumont displays a ton of confidence, swagger and leadership on the court. She has great size at the PG position which allows her to be an excellent play maker with her ability to “thread the needle” with her passing. Her skill set in that category is off the charts. She is also very strong getting to the rim with contact. Solid in every aspect look for a tremendous 2027 campaign from Ginny Anne.

Ginny Anne Dumont Ginny Anne Dumont 5'11" | PG Providence Day (NC) | 2027 State NC is a fun ball handler to watch with the way she sees the floor.  She’s patient letting plays develop, and she doesn’t back down from taking things into her own hands knocking down her shot from around the perimeter.  She moves well without the ball in her hands making sure she can get the ball back or help her teammates score some points.

Ginny played with confidence and swagger on both ends. She scored several times by timing her cuts perfectly and finishing at the rim. Her court vision stood out as she consistently found open teammates with touch and awareness. She also showed a smooth shooting stroke and attacked the glass with energy and toughness to snag boards.

Ginny Anne Dumont Ginny Anne Dumont 5'11" | PG Providence Day (NC) | 2027 State NC has been a very special athlete to watch even at a young age.  She handles the ball well using a variety of moves to get by her defenders using a finesse to finish at the rim.  She’s a knockdown shooter from all over the court scoring off the pass and her own dribble.  Her IQ is apparent finding her open teammates knowing how to facilitate offensive plays, and she uses that IQ on defense to grab some steals and take them the other direction.

1000 Points

Dumont is a special guard, and us North Carolinians are selfishly glad she chose Providence Day for her schooling this year.  She has great size for a guard being able to elevate over her opponents scoring with ease going up and over her defenders.  She’s an excellent three point shooter, and she gets to the rim easily finishing on either side.  Besides scoring herself, she is sure to get her teammates involved making sharp passes right into the hands of the target.

Ginny Anne Dumont Ginny Anne Dumont 5'11" | PG Providence Day (NC) | 2027 State NC has certainly found a good groove as a leader for her Providence Day team.  She controls the flow of the game bringing the ball up to set up a half court set, or she makes the perfect pass u the court hitting her teammate in stride as they make the fast break bucket.  She has great size that’s hard to defend around the perimeter as she elevates over her defender to make her shot.  

Ginny Anne Dumont Ginny Anne Dumont 5'11" | PG Providence Day (NC) | 2027 State NC has a nice touch with the ball being able to attack the gaps and find the open lane for some points.  She’s a special talent that draws a lot of attention on the court as she has already surpassed the 1000 point mark in her short career.  When she does take a break on the bench, she’s heavily engaged in the game cheering on her teammates and repeating instructions from her coach.
