We are starting with the seniors and will be making our way down towards the freshman. Let’s get started:
The 5-6 point guard has all the intangibles that a guard carries, she is one of the most persistent passers, scorers and facilitators you will find in this week’s Final Four. She controls the game with an excellent pace and has a high basketball IQ. Turner also can create separation by creating her own shot and knocks down at a high rate.
The 6-1 junior power forward is not your traditional power forward, as she can stretch the floor and knock down perimeter jumpers. During the regular season, Nelms averaged 17.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game for Miami Country Day. She also has the ability to score from inside and finishes efficiently well on both sides of the basket.
After transferring from Wekiva to Lake Highland Prep last off-season, Eads went from averaging 17.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game last season for the Lady Mustangs to just 12.7 points per game this season with the Highlanders. Despite her height she still has an advantage at getting to the basket with her quickness when the ball is in her hands. She will also make defenses pay if you give her space to shoot, as Eads shot 46 percent from beyond the arc during the regular season.
The 5-8 junior combo guard can get it done in a variety of ways leading Colonial to their second consecutive Final Four. Richardson averaged 13.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game during the regular season for the Lady Grenadiers. This season, Richardson has picked up offers from Bethune-Cookman and Stetson University.
Highlights
The 5-7 junior guard is one of the top shooters in the state when it comes to the perimeter, shooting at 62 percent from beyond the arc this season.
The 5-5 senior guard can push the ball in transition with her speed and ability to create her own shot. On the defensive end she constantly applies ball pressure and can get steals turning into buckets on the offensive end. Corporan averaged 8.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game during the regular season for the Lady Raiders.
The 6-1 junior power forward was nearly perfect from the field in the regional semifinal, going 7-of-7 from the field and 2-of-3 from the free throw line. She can play multiple positions on the offensive end whether it’s as a power forward or playing the combo guard position as she has great handles for her size. Coyle has received offers from Mercer, Presbyterian College and Vermont so far in her recruitment process.
Kosoy transferred from North Broward Prep to Cardinal Gibbons last off-season. The 5-7 junior combo guard is one of the strongest and most accurate passers you may see at the Final Four in Lakeland this week. Kosoy during the regular season, averaged 9.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game for the Lady Chiefs.
