Check out some of the newcomers in the rankings below.
Talk about a terrific senior season. Blair was lights out. She consistently showed in the gym range on her jumper. I was incredibly impressed with her overall strength and how she could use it to work into and from the mid range. Blair showed all season that she could get shots off in traffic and shoot overtop the defense. Bowling Green has a great one on the way.
Tyler will be headed to Kent State for her college hoops career. They are going to be welcoming an elite post player that still has a ton of upside. She’s always been an elite post defender and one of the best rebounders in the state. Tyler’s shooting range continues to expand which is going to make her game continue to blossom.
I don’t believe that her number moved a lot, but the way she’s played over the last year and a half, she has to be on this list. Kincaid has been the definition of a do-it-all player. She was a regular triple-double threat, but the numbers are just the start. Kincaid is a leader and an outstanding 2 way player. I think she’ll be an instant impact player at Cedarville.
Espanol only jumped about 200 spots. Not a bad day at the office. She’s an elite athlete with terrific foot speed and start-stop quickness. Espanol can play the length of the court defensively and can shut opponents down in a half court set. She’s a speedy guard that can excel in transition.
Perry had a senior season that she can be incredibly proud of. She led Dexter on a deep playoff run. Perry showed improvements in so many aspects of her game. Her jumper was very reliable and she showed that she could score from multiple levels. Perry greatly improved her ball handling and passing and that really made her a triple threat on the perimeter.
Bakkar had a big time prove it season. She showed exactly why she should be considered one of the great floor generals in Michigan’s senior class. First of all, Bakkar was the pace setter for her team. She set the tone. Bakkar played an aggressive downhill game and never backed down, showing no fear with the ball in her hands. She guided her team all the way to the semifinals of the state playoffs.
