She gave the team a boost with her outside shooting, catching, and pivoting quickly to get her feet positioned to shoot the ball with accuracy and balance. Amanda drained a triple from the corner and added two more from the wing. She crashed the glass to secure offensive rebounds and wasn't afraid to dive on the floor to compete for 50/50 balls. Amanda ran through a pass in the air to keep it from being picked off, then drove hard down the baseline to earn a trip to the free-throw line. She poured in ten points and will be an important member of the lineup.

Fraser has a pair of talented playmakers joining their backcourt in the near future. Kennedie helped Fraser's varsity at The Compound Fall League and showed no signs of her youth on the court. She was a two-way difference maker in the game. One of her highlights happened when Kennedie stripped the ball away up top with her quick hands, raced up the court towards the rim, evaded the final defender with a swift spin move, then went up strong to score a tough, inside-hand finish at the rim. She made her presence felt on the offensive glass and facilitated the ball effectively to pick up multiple assists. Kennedie attacked downhill with a burst and was effective as a slasher. She scooped up a loose ball and drove to the basket for a bucket, froze a defender with a shot fake, then drove past to score a soft floater.

Jaionna gave Chippewa Valley an edge with her physicality, toughness, energy, and interior impact at The Compound Fall League. Her determination led to many offensive and defensive rebounds. Jaionna worked hard to get the advantage inside, caught passes with good hands, and scored or ended up on the free-throw line. She caught a pass with strong hands in the paint and used a great step-through pivot to score. Jaionna faced up and drove hard to cause a foul, then showed her ability to play with her back to the basket, using an assertive drop-step pivot, then stretching to score a strong and-one layup through contact. She's scrappy and a difficult matchup for opposing forwards.

Nevaeh is a prospect who had a very impressive day for Chippewa Hills at The Compound Fall League on Sunday. Her athleticism, solid length as a guard, tenacity, and complete performance on both ends made it clear she needs a number next to her name in the next rankings update. Nevaeh was relentlessly aggressive on defense. She swiped the ball away clean at half court and left the opponent in her wake, driving straight to the basket for a two-foot finish. Her perimeter pressure forced turnovers; she used textbook post-entry denial technique to deflect a pass away to create a steal, then clamped down aggressively to tie up the ball. Nevaeh demonstrated a dual-threat skill set on the offensive end. She ran the baseline, caught the pass in the corner, and swished the open three. Nevaeh buried a smooth triple off a crossover step-back dribble, drained another corner three, and got her defender to bite with a jab step, accelerated by to earn a trip to the line, then knocked down the free throw. Nevaeh hit the deck to scrap for loose balls, chased down rebounds, and immediately pushed the ball up the floor using both hands to start the fast break. She snatched a defensive rebound, turned on the jets, and took the ball coast-to-coast the length of the court for a speedy layup. Nevaeh will be a difference-maker in the Chippewa Valley backcourt this winter.

Riley stole the spotlight at The Compound Fall League on Sunday. She might be an 8th grader, but Riley didn't show any signs of timidity competing against varsity players. Riley earned the label of "sharpshooter" in my notes. She drilled a high-arcing three, dribbled into a triple from the slot, and buried a straightaway three. Riley has excellent balance and mechanics on her shot; she's not a player you want to leave open. Beyond shooting, Riley made an impact on the defensive end and as a facilitator. She swiped the ball away and dished out an assist, moved her feet, and worked hard to apply pressure on the perimeter. She was very active at the top of the half-court defense. Riley fired a long pass ahead in transition for an assist, made great lob entry passes with touch to rollers, grabbed offensive rebounds, and scored a putback. One of her highlights came when Riley sprinted ahead during a fast break, made a great adjustment to corral the deflected pass, and immediately drove straight to the basket to score a layup off two feet. She has a bright future ahead and will be a welcome addition to the Fraser basketball program.
