5A State Tournament Top Guards

[player_tooltip player_id='255261' first='Danaeja' last='Romero Ah-Sam'] has some accolades to her name and looks put some definition to those for Sprginfield. [player_tooltip player_id='158541' first='Ella' last='Wedin'] is one of the best shooters in the State for La Salle. [player_tooltip player_id='255259' first='Kyleigh' last='Brown'] is a confident point guard with handle and game for Silverton. Emma McDonald has certainly upped her stock within the last few months for Putnam. [player_tooltip player_id='502364' first='Sage' last='Winslow'] is a workhorse at the point guard position for Crater. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='255261' first='Danaeja' last='Romero Ah-Sam'] 2024 5'8” PG Springfield HS - the reigning 5A State Player of the Year had another commanding game as she filled up the stat sheet to a tune of 15 points, 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 3 steals as a dominant force for the Millers.&nbsp; She is a clear leader out on the court as she made her impact known on both ends of the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='158541' first='Ella' last='Wedin'] 2023 6'1” SG La Salle HS&nbsp;- despite a tough shooting night, the shooting-star found ways to contribute all across the board.&nbsp; Wedin finished with 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists as she is an athletic guard with the ability to take it inside when her shot isn't going as well as provide as a rugged rebounder.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='255259' first='Kyleigh' last='Brown'] 2024 5'7” PG Silverton HS&nbsp;- the slickster was stifled by the athleticness and defensive stiffness that La Salle was able to capture but found ways to contribute, getting to the free-throw line with good consistency.&nbsp; Brown had 8 points and 7 assists as she wove the needle, finding teammates in opportune places around the basket thanks to her shiftiness and awareness.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Emma McDonald 2023 5'9” SG Putnam HS&nbsp;- the highlight filled guard had a superb game, leading her team with a 16 point, 6 rebound, 2 steal effort as she sank three of eight from three-point land.&nbsp; McDonald is a dynamic guard who isn't afraid of the big moment - rather she craves it.&nbsp; Skilled three-level scorer and competitor.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='502364' first='Sage' last='Winslow'] 2025 5'9" PG Crater HS - Winslow almost had an unprecedented quadruple double as she totaled an astounding 25 point, 12 rebound, 8 assist, 7 steal effort for Crater - leading them in every single category.&nbsp; She is a blistering quick guard with a tremendous motor, which showed in her statistics.&nbsp; Also a team-oriented player and confident and agile defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
