We take a look at some lightening quick PG’s in North Carolina’s 2024 class that you should know.
Lili Booker Lili Booker 5’7″ | CG Mallard Creek | 2024 State NC ‘s talent at the PG position simply can’t be ignored. She is a natural basketball player who makes excellent decisions with the ball in her hands. She has a strong ability to read defenses and knows exactly when a play is or isn’t there. She is quick off the dribble and can fly up and down the court, consistently beating her opponents in transition and finishing strong at the rim. Lili will be a strong asset to a college program on the next level.
Possessing one of the quickest shot releases you’ll find in NC, the 2024 guard had a tremendous junior campaign for North Rowan. Bailee notched her 1,000th point last season on the way to averaging over 27 ppg for the Lady Cavs. She has the ability to score in droves from every level making her a nightmare to defend. She is an absolute ball hawk on defense, smothering opponents and at times she will just snatch the ball right out of her opponent’s hands.
So many positive things to say about this speedy PG who also reached the 1,000 point milestone this past season. A three level scorer who ‘s speed allows her to get to the basket at will. She displays great leadership qualities and is a very unselfish player that looks to get her teammates involved. Defensively, Jada shows very natural instincts. She is a very pesky defender who consistently beat opponents to their spots and cuts off their driving lanes. She anticipates passes very well and can fly down the court for easy buckets after forcing turnovers. Jada is a prospect coaches will certainly want to keep track of over the course of the season.
The first thing that jumps out when watching the 2024 guard is the her constant activity. She has a very high motor. She is just constantly moving and making plays for her team. She plays with a ton of confidence and is a fearless competitor. She can be seen on film taking the ball round the middle of the lane into the path of much bigger defenders, drawing contact while getting to the free throw line.
Fresh off of a 12 point, 10 rebound performance in the NCHSAA 3A State Championship game, Demya checks all the boxes of being a dynamic PG worthy of more recognition. She demonstrates dynamic speed off the dribble which constantly opens up the floor for her teammates. She does a great job making the right pass to set up her bigs for layups. She has overall great court vision and awareness and is such a steady ball handler.
