The 6-0 sophomore guard was an opponents’ worst nightmare when it came to matching up with her. Girardi increased her scoring average from 20.2 to 23.3 points per game, as well as her rebounding average from 8.3 to 12.8 this season. Her recruitment process has also gotten noticed as she picked up offers from Arkansas and Columbia following her performances in the postseason.
The 5-4 sophomore guard is a flat out scorer. She is explosive when it came to scoring off the bounce and knocking down tough shots from time to time. On the defensive end she is a pest and made things difficult for opponents to score on her. This season for Wildwood, Harris averaged 22.8 points per game while shooting 48 percent from the field.
Knauff, a 5-9 combo guard plays with such a high basketball IQ and makes the right plays for her teammates. In 27 games played this season, Knauff averaged 19.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game for Bolles. Her best game of the season came on January 21 where she scored a game-high 32 points on 8 made 3-pointers in a win over Dunnellon.
The 6-0 sophomore forward was sensational for Faith Christian in the semifinal and championship games this season especially. Kitts plays a very versatile game and can score efficiently in the paint. Kitts averaged 12.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 blocks per game helping lead Faith Christian to their first state title in school history. Look for her recruitment to start heating up as we gear into the spring and summer session.
The 5-7 guard can score in a variety of ways whether it’s from beyond the arc or attacking the basket. Olson led a young Spruce Creek team to a 23-6 record in 2022-2023, while averaging 15.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. On the defensive end, Olson is very scrappy and active when it comes to the passing lanes as well as applying pressure.
The 5-11 forward played with a chip on her shoulder when I saw her in the regional semifinals against Plant. O’Leary averaged 16.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game for Venice this season. Her length can cause disruptions on the defensive end as she can get rebounds with the best of them.
