Today we released the Spring rankings update for the Class of 2025. There were 12 new additions in total, plus a few players who raised their “stock”, so to speak, so subsequently there was some movement throughout the list. We have also changed formats to make rankings more exclusive, therefore at this time we are ranking just 75 players in the Class of 2025, with the rest being placed on a watchlist of 85 players. At some point in the near future, those 75 ranked spots will expand to 100. That will likely either be June 1st or September 1st. In the meantime, I wanted to take this time to circle back and address all of the listed prospects, position by position. Below is a look at 12 post prospects who make up 7.5% of the rankings this time around, with analysis on a handful to “keep an eye on” detailed at the bottom.

NEW ADDITIONS:

KEEP AN EYE ON:
Ava has grown 2-3 inches in the last 18 months, and she might be pushing 6-4 at this point. She has a strong frame, nice length, and she’s athletic in most directions, including being somewhat bouncy. This winter, she got a lot of opportunity, especially later in the year, and showed good hands, solid footwork, and the ability to score the ball with either hand around the block. She is also an intimidating presence defensively, as she blocks/affects most shots by penetrating guards.
Olivia is an absolute worker with an outstanding motor. She has a fairly strong and physical frame, she typically seeks physicality herself, and she has a nose for the ball and rebounds it outside of her area well. She has some touch and can play facing the basket in the mid-post, and she’s a solid all-around athlete in most directions. As she continues to develop her game, it would benefit her to consistently stretch her range to the perimeter, but I do enjoy her style of play inside.
Highlights
Avery is another post who has grown rapidly, both in size and in skill development. She has a big frame, broad shoulders, and really nice length. She has good footwork and is starting to show a much more advanced offensive game around the block. She is taller than her peers, so it’s easy to just turn and throw a half-hook off the glass, but she’s learning a lot more than just that. As she keeps building that skillset and adding countermoves, she is going to be scary good, if she isn’t already.
