Yesterday we released the Spring rankings update for the Class of 2025. There were 12 new additions in total, plus a few players who raised their “stock”, so to speak, so subsequently there was some movement throughout the list. We have also changed formats to make rankings more exclusive, therefore at this time we are ranking just 75 players in the Class of 2025, with the rest being placed on a watchlist of 85 players. At some point in the near future, those 75 ranked spots will expand to 100. That will likely either be June 1st or September 1st. In the meantime, I wanted to take this time to circle back and address all of the listed prospects, position by position. Below is a look at 27 power forward prospects who make up 16.9% of the rankings this time around, with analysis on a handful to “keep an eye on” detailed at the bottom.

NEW ADDITIONS:
Katrina Cooper Katrina Cooper 6'0" | PF Scottsburg | 2025 IN , Scottsburg – Really nice athlete with length, plays with a motor. More rebounder/defender right now, but learning to score.
Addison Davis Addison Davis 5'9" | PF Danville Community | 2025 IN , Danville – Tough-nosed, hard-working, and assertive forward. Does a lot of the “little things” to help her team win.
Morgan Montgomery Morgan Montgomery 5'10" | PF Brownsburg | 2025 State IN – Solid to strong athlete, can rebound and defend multiple positions. Plays with a nice motor and is building skill.

KEEP AN EYE ON:
Andrea has played a key role for Westville each of her two seasons in high school, and at 6-1 she isn’t a traditional back-to-the-basket post. She has nice length, wiry strength, and she’s a solid all-around athlete who can defend out on the perimeter a little. She is willing to be physical inside, and she’s a nice rebounder, but she can also face the basket and play in the mid-post exclusively. With her playing this Spring & Summer, it will be fun watching her against the state’s better players.
Highlights
Carly has a fairly strong frame, broad shoulders, and nice length. She can post up some inside, but that’s not really her comfort zone. She is a good face-up shooter, and she likes to play in the mid-post or around the perimeter. She has nice touch as deep as the 3-point line as well. If she is going to play mostly around the perimeter, it would benefit her to work on playing lower and handling the ball in tight space better, but at 6-0 and a Sophomore, she’s already fairly skilled.
Sophia had an outstanding year for the Lady Eels, and she really “put herself on the map” this Winter. She is tremendously long, fluidly athletic, and she might still be growing. She will need to add some strength for sure, but she has solid instincts, plays with a motor, and at least tries to be physical. With her playing major grassroots basketball for the first time, it should really help her adjust to the speed and size of the game. It should be fun to watch her growth the next couple of years.
