She is a magician with the basketball, she has the ability to make every pass, score the ball, and rebound on both ends. She did all of those things finishing with a double. 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists.
Isa gave all she could against Rolesville to give her team the best chance possible to compete. Her effort guarding the ball and playing the passing lanes led to numerous transition opportunities. She had a good game finishing at the rim and was the beneficiary of her teammates drawing the helping leaving her open to hit some outside shots.

Destiny had a strong showing shooting the ball against Cardinal Gibbons shooting 60% from three knocking down six of them. She has the ability to put the ball on the floor and can guard other quick guards well on the perimeter.

Another guard who got the hot hand from deep for this talented Rolesville team was Gabrielle Matthews. In the match up against Cardinal Gibbons she went 5-9 from three, grabbed 5 rebounds, and three blocks. Gabrielle gives Rolesville another guard who can play on or off the ball and stretch the floor. She makes the right plays no matter how open she may be, she didn’t settle, and still finds ways to attack the basket.
Jahriell is a versatile guard who has good size that gives defenders trouble on the perimeter. She attack gaps well, created for teammates at times, and gave effort on the boards. She scored 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds to help get the win and move on to the next round.
E.E. Smith got a lot of good looks around the rim and won the rebound battle, and a lot of that had to do with senior Anaya Hall Anaya Hall 5’10” | SF E.E. Smith | 2023 NC . She has a physical game and uses her size pretty well. She can score with her back to the basket and gets frequent opportunities at the free throw line. Gave her team 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Teams with seniors who play at a high level usually have a good chance of having a successful season. Betsey has had a good senior campaign averaging 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. After a win over Asheville her team has a 24-4 record where she posted 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 1 steal. She is an active guard with great size to score it over defenders on the perimeter and finish with her length in the paint. She is very skilled and crafty with the ball and she uses that to her advantage to hit tough shots.
Anastasia was one, if not the biggest factor in South Meck moving on to the next round against Asheville. She had her finger prints all over the game with her energy, decision making, and defensive intensity. She scored 17 points attacking the basket with her quick first step, which got her opportunities at the free throw line where she went 5-6. She dished out a team high 11 assists, makes the extra effort to find her teammates and puts them in position to be successful. UNCP can trust that good things happen with then ball in her hands.
